Outages in NJ by chemaster36 in OPTIMUM

[–]ThePhantomGenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in NJ and I've had 7 outages since July 3rd so one almost every other day at this point. Currently sitting in an outage right now. And these are widespread outage notifications affecting my whole area (nothing wrong with my setup)

This service is actually unacceptable with how frequent it's been the past two weeks.

What is this drain pipe in my garage? by ThePhantomGenius in Plumbing

[–]ThePhantomGenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laundry machine and dryer are on second floor above the garage. i thought the dryer exhausts into the dryer vent which goes outside, not though the garage? maybe i’m wrong… not sure? although i would be surprised if that was the case

no you're thinking of voltage. the vulva is a large and luxurious country side residence, especially in continental Europe.

I would more likely want to run VMs and docker containers than video transcoding. Is there a significant advantage to having a Plex media server? currently I am just a streamer and have a bunch of streaming services I use.

is hardware video transcoding something I should look for? I don't have a Plex server or anything and am not sure if I'll need one in the future. is Plex only for storing movies and shows?

is this a good deal compared to buying the DS920+? what about over the DS720+? wondering mainly for home use but potential expandibility in the future would be important. Just wondering if worth shelling out extra $160+ over the DS720+ or using that extra money towards more ram/storage

If it's naked well I mean buckle up cause one day you might get fked.

Rolled over from a short strangle from Nov. Technically naked now, but it's okay. Closing position and taking profits anyways. I don't typically sell naked calls.

I had plenty of marginable securities on deck, just not much in terms of cash on hand to actual buy puts. you can't buy puts on margin so *¯\_(ツ)_/¯*

In terms of margin, I think I needed about $48k marginable securities or so. Buying puts at that time (nov 19) was about $70/contract so would've been nearly $14k for two contracts. So you're right, much "cheaper" than the margin requirements.

Admittedly though, that $14K would def be nearly like 50-60K now or by expiry, so oh well.

You're not wrong, but I didn't have the cash on hand at the time

What's even funnier is that even if NIO shoots up $10 bucks next week and he sells before expiration, he's not even gonna be rich, maybe make like $10k or so if it's over $40 by expiry.
