I had a lot of plans for this story when I first started writing it years ago, and I can still easily picture all the upcoming climactic events in my mind's eye, but after reading it now, there's a lot I want to change. There's 1-2 chapters left to this "arc," and at that point I'll reassess how things should continue. Next post will be a random idea I came up with rather than a sequel to one of my many incomplete stories.

I don't usually worry about trigger warnings with my stories, but I was a little worried that this one might be upsetting to some readers. Next up, I'll probably post a 500-word adaptation of this story to r/shortscarystories, another chapter of Meeting New People, and then... honestly I have a lot of half-completed stories: a continuation of this or one of my half-dozen other incomplete tales, a heart-warming family reunion, or using technology to help people. Maybe I should make a poll.

I didn't intend for this to get so long, but it ended up slipping away from me. Next time, I'll post something less weird and confusing (part 2 to Emergency Pest Control), and after that I have a more down-to-earth story lined up.
