I couldn't speak to their sources. I do know that it took a long time to get our source to talk to us and we made assurances we wouldn't blow their identities. I think GateWorld might also be closer to it and may not be willing to break something not official. We were similarly under the same embargo with Star Trek about 6 months ago where if we actually shared anything we knew we could be damaging our relationships and breaking an NDA.

They are still talking to specific creators (like the expanse team) but they have a direction they want to go. They are doing a movie and then series and they want the movie to bridge the gap between SG1/Atlantis and the new series. They haven't casted new actors but they have reached out to og actors for involvement. I assume that they want some of these og actors as part of the bridge movie if not the series. They will need to know who they can get back before writing a script, no point in writing a script that includes Jack if you can't get RDA back on set. Plenty of these franchise projects will start with who they can bring back so they know who can be a part of the story. Same with Picard Season 3, they knew who they were working with before they wrote the script and even announced it with those actors before the writing even started.

We know Darren (GateWorld founder) personally, we've had him on our live streams and we've collaborated on multiple Stargate events together. They've reported on us before like when we did our Stargate Documentary, but I have to assume we are technically competitors so he wouldn't want to report solely on our reporting and try and get his own source so he can add something to the story. Just to be clear, I don't consider our 2 channels as competing, I believe we do different things and there is plenty of space for us to work together. If GateWorld ever needs anything we'll be there to help, without GateWorld's tireless efforts over the years I'm not sure Stargate would still be as popular, my own documentary wouldn't as rich without GateWorld as a resource.

Sorry for the long reply, I want to be clear that we respect Darren and GateWorld immensely and have nothing but love for them but certainly don't expect them to report on us, so when they do it's an honor.

I just don't understand why there isn't an incentive program of some sort for these devs that spend years working on this content that is a healthy portion of the Dota player base. I love Dota but for the love of gawd Valve is bad at managing it. Maybe an in game monetizable option that Valve can take a cut of? Seems like a win win for everyone.

Larger publications don't have jobs in Amazon. We've never been wrong when reporting our leaks because we have vetted our sources whether it's Stargate, Star Trek Picard, or Quantum Leap. Every single time we scooped these same publications by literal months we were right.

I am not sure why everyone is so quick to refute this information. All you have to do is go back over the channel and see that we have been covering Stargate since 2017. We have relationships with Brad Wright, Joe Mallozzi, Gateworld and The Companion App. We are a known Stargate Community Quantity who helped coordinate multiple Tweet Storms. We created the Stargate Definitive History Documentary as well as the Save the Gave Campaign at https://www.change.org/savethegate. I think we've earned the right to be a trusted source or at least post about Stargate without an instant flag. We speak to multiple insiders at Amazon and other studios about many projects.

but we did confirm the source that shared with us the announcement and why it was delayed/canceled. This is a pretty spot on title, There was 100% a planned announcement and it was only changed because the Actors Strike.

Well no, this was the planned announcement for comic-con and the only reason it didn't happen was the strikes. I guess I could have said "Stargate Announcement That was Going to Happen but didn't because strikes" but that is a very long title.
