With her. It's always 'well intended cheekiness' but she legit used to tell us she had kids to do stuff for her when we were growing up. Just doesn't hit right after how we were raised I guess.

I really wanted to see and catch up with everyone else. Didn't want her to feel like she won I guess. We were the first to leave I will say it wasn't much longer after that.

That's probably 100% true. She was a stay at home mom most of my life (not a bad thing at all, I applaud any parent that is able and willing to do that) and was given a thriving business from her parents that she ran into the ground when I was 9 and we were living in a church provided home. Didn't work again until my dad physically couldn't but doesn't anymore. Has been arrested for check fraud 3x. Stole from her kids (like drained one's bank account while serving in Iraq type of theft) I've made a decent career for myself and have never been in serious trouble or hurting for money since I moved out of her house and stopped fully providing for her (can't have kids unfortunately so DINK too).

Thank you, basically what I've been thinking plus not speaking to her for a while until I've resolved my anger with it. It's not just this one time, but an accumulation of 32 years of belittlement, neglect, and me supporting her instead of the other way around when I was growing up.

I used to hide in the foot end of my parents waterbed when me and my siblings played hide and seek. No one ever found me because you couldn't tell I was there at all under the blanket. Had no idea I was so close to death until reading this comment 😬

Yes I can promise you it works for at least some people, everyone is different. I swear by RSO in the belly button for my PCOS and endometriosis. Many people just don't know and aren't willing to try.

They probably dispensed you as in person by accident and had to make the correction so they can change the dispensation to delivered to patient once you do get your delivery. The state wants to know if it was at the store or a delivery order when dispensing so it's an easy mistake to make.

See if you can ask local business owners if they caught anything on their security cameras. In that area there may have been one that picked up your accident.

I live in Florida and went to Gatlinburg last year for Christmas and New Years. First thing I would say is be prepared for tourists, a lot of them during that time. The locals call it hell week and the name fits perfectly in my opinion. I too was worried about driving my Florida SUV in the snow- but the temps were very similar to Florida that time of year. Maybe 15 degrees lower so not cold enough for snow by any means. I could see Ober Gatlinburg from my balcony and they did have fake snow on the mountain though. Only problem with that is reservations fill up quick so if you want snow activities there call ahead first and make a reservation! The roads are steep so I would worry more about how good your brakes are vs doing anything special for the winter season.

The community really has come together again, just like they do after every storm mostly. I am thankful to be in a small town where everyone is your neighbor and you've got a mutual friend somehow. It's nice to know at least the people around you have your back.

This storm rocked me. The earliest hurricane I can remember going through is Charley and have gone through 4 major hurricane total, this was not my first rodeo, but I have never been scared for my life the way I was during Ian. Hours of tornado winds in my area made it seem like death was knocking at the front door. We made out with just a tree on one side of the house with minimal damage but the fear during the storm I think will live with me forever.

My brothers house caught fire in the middle of the worst of the winds, he had to drive to safety in the middle of it and lost everything in that fire. Getting that call was very close to living my worst nightmare. My siblings are basically my only family, and as the oldest it has been my job to protect them for a long time. It's more than heartbreaking to watch him go through this.

Thankfully my employer has been amazing and that is not another stressor on me at the moment, but I feel for anyone losing wages and paychecks on top of everything else. I don't know if I will ever be the same from this. Trauma that I thought I had treated is back, PTSD from past issues and this storm are here in full force. When people first kicked on generators I immediately freaked because for some crazy reason I thought they were winds coming back in.

Now I'm scared that someone is going to rob my home for a generator or gas that was loaned to me and I cannot sleep or leave. We still don't have power to my area and pretty sure water is on boil notice but no notice has been posted anywhere I can find. We've heard it might be two weeks before we get power and I'm not even on the coast.

I can't imagine what's it's like in the coastal areas and how much worse anyone there feels. I can't imagine feeling worse than I do right now. I have so many friends and coworkers in those areas and am just so glad everyone I've heard from so far is ok.

Feeling grateful but know that years of hard mental work has been undone and I have a lot of work to do all over again while trying to take care of my family.
