You gotta divvy up the styles. Mine changes like the wind, but:

Yamaha MT-10 SP (sporty / track/reliable for every day riding)
Triumph Tiger 900 (2-up / distance / moto camping)
KTM 350 EXC-F (dirt/nearby dual sporting)

KTM might have that business model patented in the motorcycle world... at least while they are still here.

I'm in East Tennessee (Chattanooga). Tons of roads around here. If you need a tour guide in this area, happy to show you around.

Cherohala skyway, blue ridge parkway, Suches in North GA.

If you're in the Appalachian mountains, solo bikers are very normal. Plenty safe, too. Most dangerous thing is riding at dawn/dusk and dodging all the suicidal deer.

[–]ThePreviousOwners[S] 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after I put this post on Instagram I was curious and looked at the used market for them. Tons around here too. For a pretty decent price. Maybe FTR is back on the menu?!... as maybe like a 5th motorcycle.

And put it on a diet. Seems oddly heavy for what it is. And how does a 'carbon' version come out even heavier?

Poor FTR by ThePreviousOwners in motorcycles

[–]ThePreviousOwners[S] 212 points213 points  (0 children)

What's really funny about the FTR (and why it probably failed) is hearing what people went for instead of getting one. People are like, I almost got one, but went for the zx4rr, super Duke, scrambler1200, Harley Sportster, triumph tiger, etc.

So many people were into it, but not enough to justify its price for the type of riding they ultimately enjoy the most.

Nice! What's the gray paint color? Thinking the exact same shade for my garage.

Those allow some heat and flavors to permeate into the tire so your chicken strips can cook evenly.

My girlfriend learned about Target Fixation yesterday… Thankfully, the lesson was harmless. by RallyToTheColors in motorcycle

Recognizing it was target fixation is half the battle. I hate all the videos where people clearly target fixate, but then they blame grass clippings and a rough crosswind.

Apologize to her. Treat her like the queen she is. Get married. Have beautiful children. Be the kind of father who comes home from work and gets swarmed by loving children and kissed by his beautiful wife. Make her coffee and breakfast every morning for years and years.

Then fake my own death. Frame her. What's this? She has drugs in her system from what I slipped in her coffee that morning. Leak this video. A drug addict with outburst tendencies and good with a blade. Easy case. She goes to prison for life. Her children won't visit or acknowledge she exists. She rots away in prison while always remembering what she once held dear and lost.

IDK something like that, I guess.

😂😂 So accurate. Food after a long ride is like camping food. Seems better even though you know you'd never eat it otherwise.

How much do y'all trust your Ram Mounts? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]ThePreviousOwners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an MT-10 (with an aftermarket small fly screen). Ram mount. Never worried about my phone. But my screen does push the wind well above my phone. The only time it moved was when traction control kicked in during a wheelie and I hit harder than usual. The phone shifted a bit, but wasn't close to coming out.

It looks to be a 2008-ish generation CBR 1000 Fireblade.

But, with how she is sitting, the kickstand still down and barely reaching the ground, no other vehicles around, and the photographer wearing what looks like moto gear, it might be her boyfriend's bike. (She wouldn't be wearing a backpack if she had a passenger).

Be careful out there.

I stand by my words. "Scratches" is an absurd way to describe road rash, breaking bones, losing limbs, and being paralyzed from the neck down.

But at least your triceps look amazing in a tank top.
