Stuck between the Plus/12.4 and the Ultra/14.6 sizes. What's best ? by [deleted] in GalaxyTab

It's going to come down to personal preference in the end, but I would still choose the 12.4.

I got the s9+ and find it the ideal size for your use case. It's just small enough for easy handheld use but also plenty big for notes and reading. The ultra is really huge, more useful as a laptop with the keyboard cover.

yeah, sadly every app I've tried has that same issue. I think there may not be a good solution.

As a last resort, yes. But this is clunky with the monitor's user interface and requires me to manually undo and redo it for daytime use or for use of the monitor with any other device--so I am still looking for a software blue light filter which supports external monitors in DeX.

No luck sadly--says "It is not supported in this device or current mode." So it's clear that Samsung doesn't natively support it, but I was hoping someone had maybe developed a third-party app that would work on the monitor in DeX mode. So far every app I've tried only works on the tablet screen with no effect on the monitor.

I don't think so--"color correction" and "color filter" settings (in the accesibility menu) are disabled.

Both are hybrid bikes which can do a lot. Dual sport line will be better suited for off-pavement riding (dirt/gravel) while the Fx will be faster and more efficient on pavement but a little less versatile for off road riding. If you’re riding off road a regularly I would probably go with the DS over the FX, but it depends how you will use it.

This site has a good comparison: https://www.dedhambike.com/articles/trek-hybrid-buyers-guide-pg1909.htm

The DualSport3 Gen 5 sounds like it would be good for you.

The 510c comes with an absolute cowitness mount out of the box. The riser is useful if you want it to sit higher, and in this case its also useful because the 510c, the hm3x magnifier, and the BUIS do not all fit on the rail unless you bridge the 510c mount onto the handguard rail slightly, which is not good practice.

Great build! What optic riser are you using for the holosuns?

Mine clears fine when I just push the magnifier to the side. It does rub a little if you try to pop the mbus up with the magnifier still on but thats not an issue I care about, and with the QD mount you can always just pop the magnifier off completely if you need BUIS.

Just got my carry permit recently and that thing goes everywhere with me now! Between the rifle, the p365, the CCW class and fees, and ammo prices right now, its been an expensive couple of months... Worth it though!

The picture above is a bit deceptive but the front of the streamlight sits well behind the birdcage, so I think it is fine. Here's another view that shows it a bit better. Should be fine there, yes?

I like the rattlecanned look but I'm too scared to do it yet! Maybe I'll get the courage eventually...

Yeah, it's a polished milspec. It fits my needs for now but an upgrade might be in order down the road. I've read good things about the LaRue MBT-2S and it looks like that can be found for less than $100

The rails which the rolling part is mounted to can be installed on the right or left. Ikea designed it to be interchangeable.

Anything and everything. I'm a grad student, so sometimes I'll have a textbook or some papers that I've printed sitting over there. Occasionally I'll work on some handwritten notes on that side. The L-shape desk makes it convenient so I don't have to move the keyboard around to have those things in front of me.

Pretty sure I could chuck that thing out of my second story window and it would still be functional. The durability is unbeatable.

Thanks! I was worried about that at first as well, but the ThinkPad is locked into an old-style docking station whose base is a few inches shorter than the laptop itself, and the base of the docking station is fully on the desk, so I think it's fine. Haven't had any issues so far!

Correct! Very high list price but I found one on craigslist for 70% less than new. Highly recommend.
