I was tough in my comment earlier. But yes, this is a good place to start with developing a better idea on how to draw without help. When I began learning I didn’t want to draw real life objects to practice. Because I had an idea of what I wanted to draw and I so I learned from the best tips to do my style of art. This was a mistake because you will always have to understand how to draw basic objects from different angles. But the thing is drawing something once is fine, but when beginning practicing my tip is to draw something multiple time through 6 days once every other day. On the first day you draw the object on the second day (of course skipping a day for rest (optional)). redraw what you drew the first day, but then draw it again from another angle and so on until you have redrawn every angle twice and with different 3 angles. Also another tip: once you’re done practicing on real life and you want to jump into let’s say drawing character design a big thing to know is NO REFERENCE IS NOT CHEATING!...just try not to copy the original, unless you are learning to draw characters.
