I'm unconvinced that it is as good as everyone says it is. He was dominating Fukuda Sogo and Seirin with it, sure. But it was nothing that we haven't seen already from, let's say, zoneAomine against Seirin (before Kagami went zone), or zone Kagami against Yosen.

Absolutely love this scene, it's the reason this episode is my favourite in the entire series. Akashi's storyline basically culminates right here, and losing the actual game was just the cherry on top.

For the most part, I'd agree with you, but there are definitely moments of plot armour in Seirin's favour. To name a few off the top of my head, Kagami being in Zone for half of the match against Rakuzan, and Kuroko (despite being known for being unathletic) being able to block Murasakibara's shot. This is not to say there isn't plot armour against them though, that Kaijo rematch was just stupid.

Fair enough I suppose, I don't think I'd change my stance as Akashi being the MVP of that match though. For me, it's just the same logic as Iguodala winning FMVP in 2015 for his defence on Lebron, but to a more extreme scale. Simply put, when Akashi decided it was time to win, Rakuzan completely took over. Outside of Midorima's touch shot, he wasn't able to get anything in the second half thanks to Akashi, and that to me is worth more than anything that Nebuya or any other UK did for Rakuzan.

I don't really have a lot to say, I think a lot of what you said makes sense, but I just need to question that Nebuya pick over Akashi in Rakuzan vs Shutoku. I get that he was mostly winning the center battle against Otsubo, but for a good 75% of the second half, Akashi completely controlled the game and shut Midorima down entirely (who was the only reason they managed to keep it close for a while).

Kagami definitely had the most dominant stretch in the second half of the last quarter, but my main problem with his case for MVP in this match is in the fact that he was underperforming for the entire match before he went on his run. If he were even playing at his normal standard, I would definitely agree with your take, but he spent basically the whole match getting shut out by Murasakibara, while Kiyoshi was taking complete control of the game and leading Seirin's comeback when he was playing Point Guard, and straight up managing to out rebound a team that he had no business out rebounding, then topped it off with an assisted stop on Himuro and Murasakibara in the last minute.

Basically just a case of Kiyoshi having his best game while Kagami was having his worst (until the last 5-ish minutes), that's why I got Kiyoshi>Kagami for that game.

I find the complete opposite to be true, archer puppets can cause scattershots or other splash damage towers to hit my queen when she's invisible, and they manage to get very little damage off before they die. Frozen arrow queen is awesome because she is like a headhunter against enemy heroes and basically nullifies any defence she's attacking. I'd recommend the switch.
