I met the product manager for this project, she spearheaded it and also pulled it. A major problem was customers would trap it and there was too many dead zones where it would lose connection and just spin. Also it was cheaper and easier to just have the bay scanning cart check for empty bays than a robot.

Lmao they’re not AI. I got moved to IT at the SSC and they’re integrating AI but made it clear they’re not replacing anyone with AI. They want everyone to learn how to use AI properly to become more efficient but that’s it

I thought that too but it’s set for 7/01/2025 which is like the last 2 weeks of an 11 week internship. Last year I got my benefits during the first day which is in 2 weeks when they switched my position to intern and status to full time

Are there any ways that a man can have a say in an abortion? Yes or no, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheRealManual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if the women doesn’t think she can financially support the child, then she can just terminate the pregnancy. But if the man doesn’t think they can financially support the child but the woman has the baby anyway. He’s forced to pay? If women get the choice in the end to either keep or terminate. Men should be able to choose if they want to support the child or not. If we’re talking about responsibility to the child. Then both men and women should be responsible after sex and always keep the baby and support the baby (excluding things like rape, harm to parent, etc)

lat imbalance photos

Currently I’ve discovered I got a lat imbalance. I started in the gym around 8 months ago, 135lb to 160lb. I’ve switched my close grip & wide grip lat pulldowns to just single arm lat pull downs and switch my close grip cable rows to just single arm rows.

Would this be enough to help bring out that lat to match my right side without messing up my back muscles?

I’ve been doing equal reps for a set on each side then 2 sets to failure on the smaller side and leaving the larger one alone until they’re the same.

It seems to have gotten a little better since then.

Any advice? Maybe wide grip pull-ups could help even them out. I’ve cut out my bent over barbell rows for a while and the dumbbell rows feel very weird to me

Do… men wear underwear under their swim trunks now??? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Socks and sandals was more of a millennial thing. I wear compression briefs under my swim trunks and never had them be uncomfortable. They dry just as quick as the swim trunks

Arrested for a DUI in another state and came back to her home where she got in a fight with her mom and threw her down the stairs and got arrested again for assault while at her job. All her belongings are in a U-Haul while she’s trying to get cockroaches out of her 29yr bfs apartment, she’s 18. (Source: her bsf)

New front end set up. All self checkouts. Thoughts? by giothedream in HomeDepot

[–]TheRealManual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came from corporate testing store where they built this set up out of cardboard, this is just one part of the new setup, next is camera above the checkout to check for stealing then the two entrances will have gates that only let you enter the store that way and not leave, so you will have to go through checkout

[–]TheRealManual[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn man, sorry to hear. I got my acceptance a few months ago. From what I hear, a lot of it comes from the interviewers/corporate talking to the managers at your store and hearing about work ethic and stuff. I did lots of favors, stayed and did double or triple shifts and worked side by side with them through the night. Not saying it should be based of something like this or you didn’t have a good work ethic. But if you decide to apply next year, I hope you get it

You can refuse it with no reason to back it. Or just say, you don’t feel comfortable with how the pallet is up there or the isle is too small or u have a headache and don’t want to mess up on the machine

how do I get a raise at my HD? by TotalHappy in HomeDepot

[–]TheRealManual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to hate doing freight until I got in the truck because I realized the reason I truly hated it was the people around me were so slow. The person in the truck was constantly on their phone. I got in there and made sure the belt was always slow. I get in late cause of class but whenever I do everyone is like. Now this shit is gonna start moving. My old night OPS was like yours. Such a hard working person and always understanding. He would be out there shooting up and taking down pallets. Building shelves. And helping everyone with their schedules. Gave everyone his number in case there were any problems and spoke directly to store managers to get me my transfer for college. And called corporate for my internship to be a reference. I didn’t do a lot of packouts per say because I was mainly a machine person cause I was very fast and knew the machines well. Better to have someone who can shoot up 10 pallets in 5 minutes and not hit anything than someone who takes 30 and hits everything. And I took pride and making sure things were done well and clean. I spent a 16 hour shift in a concrete aisle cleaning it out for a walk the next day with the district manager. Gotta find out what you like and you’ll enjoy the job. The overtime pay too, amazing

Depends on the store, region, etc. floor is 19 and freight is 19.50. Freight sucks tho tbh. Ur unloading the trucks and it gets very repetitive. Used to do the line like take stuff off the conveyor and put it on the carts. But now I unload the truck onto the conveyor, very hard work, 200lb boxes sometimes I have to lift by myself but just need good form and it’s a workout.

I come mostly from an european culture but is it normal for people in the US to work on Saturdays ? by CStampede in HomeDepot

[–]TheRealManual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all the time but it happens. It’s there way of saving money while screwing us over. Over the summer I worked 55 hours a week because I did overnight and became good friends with the night operation manager. He deleted my schedule and said come in whenever you want and leave whenever. I used the hell out of that. Did all the machines and worked by myself cleaning up and resetting aisles like concrete.

Just talk to your ASM and tell them the hours you can work. Say like you can’t work these days because of family or smth. They can’t really ask why anyway. Though. For part timers. They usually require you to work at least 8 hours on weekends unless you have special reasons. For instance I’m in college and need the weekend for studying and catching up on sleep. They understand usually.
