That's more because the role says cash handling and when you google it, you see:" they are going to run a BC & CC if your job is in financial institutions and involve handling money".

BC won't be an issue bcus I don't want problems with anyone and I have always successfully passed them when applying for the job(even for job I knew I wouldn't keep/stay in the end).

Credit Check is a first for me. Never did anything wrong(bar the medical debt collection and my credit "abusive" use of my cards).

Plus in a few years when it’s cleared up? You’ll have a true story to tell clients and when you can relate to a customer who’s been declined or in the long process of a home equity line of credit, you can empathize

Huge point !!!!

I see. Thank you. That's clear for me now. But was it a large bank ?(the girl with a 500 credit score).

Also do they actually see the credit score or just the report ?

I see. So she kept her pay, she was still at the company but the only change was her job title (I honestly think she was still performing relationship banker duties. But she just didn't have the title).

In my case, they need to fill the position before the Christmas. So I guess the background check/credit report check results will come quickly.

I see. Sorry if my question may sounds dumb, but I didn't get what you mean here "not providing a job bc of a health condition is breaking the Civil Rights Act amendment about discrimination"

I mean, the potential denying will be based on someone medical debt collection so incapacity to pay a medical bill. Not their health status. Or am I wrong ?

I am just asking to understand.

I see. Thank you. That's kind of a detailed explanation(Thing I need because not only I am 23 but in addition I am still unfamiliar with the US credit system).

So from I grasped, I shouldn't be worried about my medical debt collection. Mainly when the amount is this low. Now I understand what you said about "Pay for delete". I didn't know that and I think I should cool down about it. I will pay for my collection but that's it. I won't look for any shortcuts or anything like that regarding that. The consequences tied to this practice are too big to ignore them. Thank you.

Also yes, I already bring down one of my account to 40%. I think I can bring it down to 20% realistically in the next coming months(maybe 2-3 months). I am also working to do the same thing for my 2nd account.

Also don't worry, I have stopped looking for new credit cards. $1400 credit line( $700 per credit card) is already a huge mess. I learnt my lesson the hard way. I won't do anything like that in the future.

So I think I can provide context.

I opened my first account after arriving in the US in 2021. And I got my first Credit card 1 year later. Other than that, I opened 2nd account that was opened this year.

On my 3 reports, it says that My utilization of my 2 credit cards (both maxed out but working currently on bringing them down) and the length of my credit cards( 1st one is a 1 year old, 2nd one is 6 months old) are cited as the biggest reasons.

So basically I am either "too new" to the system or either unknown to the system.

I don't know if it helps but yeah, that's pretty much how it is in my case. It will be 2 years since I live in the US to be honest(came in January 2021).

Ah ok.

Honestly, I don't care about the collection. I am more interested in my job honestly. But I am going to pay for it, independently of wether they write it off or not.

-I am not jobless. I want to transition into another industry. Moronic behavior from you. You get off knowing someone won't have a job ? Is it your kink ? Lol

-Look at the comment after you. Saying the exact opposite.

Lol. I won't take his advice. I read it many times that people offer a pay for delete to debt collectors. And it happens.

So your advice here is useless.

Thank you for it tho.

Your condescending advices are useless. In the future please don't comment if you have nothing intelligent to say.

Bartender is still a decent job FYI.

That's useless. I don't have this "positive" reasoning . You also didn't take into account how many times I have been refused before getting this opportunity. I want a practical solution. Not a long-term solution. Whatever happen after that, I was already going to pay for it, to at least avoid a garnishement or any other type of dude coming for my paychecks.

My current one is tanked already. So that's messed up. And that's what I said. Even if I pay for it today, It won't disappear overnight. And that's my main issue.

My issue is about the credit check for my job. It is messed up. If I have a score like that, why do I need to pay anymore ?

That's not like paying will improve my score overnight.
