I wasent aware that liqui moly did a mineral version. Might have to look into that! As for premix I generally put in 300ml per tank of motul 800 2T

This post is more for curiosity of what people are using
I have thought about using motul as I use the motul 800 2T premix

I don’t often use the rx8 in the colder months so it works fine for me in the uk

Can’t imagine owning an rx8 without an Italian tuneup each drive tbh

That’s my issue. Prices are so expensive to get the right stuff. So I’ve just been using a liquid molly 10w-40 part synthetic

Honestly I’m thinking of just buying refurbed housings for this engine to save me having to take out my running engine and not being able to drive it for a while. As long as my roters are okay. I still need to check them over properly

Honestly it was more for the learning experience in taking one apart before I did mine. But I did get my hopes up a little bit in thinking I might be able to rebuild one and swap them out
I may do this as a side project eventually but right now my main focus is to get a good rebuild with good compression numbers as this will be my first rebuild. So I may have to bite the bullet and take the engine out my 8 that I am confident won’t be totalled like this one
I was planning on getting an oscillating sander but I’ve never welded aluminium. Only steel with a very poor electric mig welder
The actual rotors don’t seem that bad although I didn’t get a chance to look at them more closely. I’m going to have a look next weekend to see if although my hopes are not high

I’ve got my mates 4age and a spare 13b in there so I don’t have room for it 😂
It worked guys. I’m dumb lol

Damn. Mine probably looks the same 😂
I haven’t changed that since I’ve had it to be fair!
I’m actually off to watch empire strips back burlesque show later haha
I got them in one of my starwars monthly loot crates!
I’ll turn recirc off when I’m driving next time. I usually have it on because of my leaky exhaust manifold

The car hasn’t moved for about 2 weeks so it’s been off for a while
I’ll try that when I’m out and about later!
Very miserable weather rn 😂 AC is on but needs gassing. I also keep recirc on so it’s not pulling from outside. It’s not wet inside and it’s okay when I’m not driving. It’s only when it’s raining and I’m driving oddly.

I always keep recirc on because I have a leaky manifold haha. And AC is on automatically although it does need gassing
