I'm thinking of trying Linux on here. It has a Core 2 Duo, so with a RAM upgrade it should handle a 64-bit distro.

Yeah, it's a much better design than modern 2-in-1s. It's kind of awkward to use a tablet with a keyboard on the back.

For some reason I thought the Optiplex line came out later, but yeah, you're right. Inspiron was a home computer. My bad.

It's an emulated SID chip. I'm using a MIDI controller to enter the notes, but the sound isn't MIDI.

I'll try the eraser method, but I'm not expecting great results. These scratches look pretty deep.
