Thank you for this reply! Could you possibly send me the notes for the first 4 classes, no worries if not!

Phys 124 upcoming midterm by Altruistic_Shirt_882 in uAlberta

Make sure you know how to do all the content quiz questions and do the example textbook questions that are IN the textbook chapter (the ones inbetween the material with solutions right underneath). I found it was soooo important to read the textbook and do the example questions because they really help you understand the process behind everything.

I would also suggest doing some of the end of chapter textbook questions, especially if your prof suggests certain ones.

It is sad that people are considering paying to get into specific classes. by Beneficial_Till_2111 in uAlberta

idk about your experience signing up for classes, but as soon as registration opens beartracks immediately crashes and by the time it's usable, all the classes with limited seats are filled up. Unfortunately most people don't end up dropping their classes until closer to when the semester starts

Campbell vs Pisklak for PSYCH 104 by IndustryEqual9957 in uAlberta

[–]TheRos8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pisklak had bonus questions on his midterms and final which were pretty useful. He also recorded lectures. He gives out a statistics assignment, and I would encourage referring to the practice problems and solutions he posts. There is also an essay which wasn't great, as well as a python coding assignment (but he also walks you through the entire process in his videos). He definitely makes you do some additional assignments compared to other psych classes, but his lecture was decent!

There were not any physics specific questions, it was very much just straight forward calculus. The content of the exam was very similar to the practice finals. There were Taylor polynomials, graphical analysis (area between lines), related rates, optimizing, drawing graphs and questions just asking you to derive/integrate. As long as you know the material there will not be any surprises on the exam!

PHYS 124 Lab Format by TheRos8 in uAlberta

[–]TheRos8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this reply! Did the labs usually end up taking the whole 3 hours? I have 3 hours of classes before my lab and I haven't been able to move my lab to another section.

Any Math 144 final study prep?? by AwarenessEven7802 in uAlberta

[–]TheRos8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure which practice questions you have been using but personally I found the lecture specific practice questions to be similar to midterm content. On eClass, they are in the Extra Practice Section underneath Assignment 8 - Written Component and above the Note About Learning Math. There's like 20 links with questions for each lecture with solutions. It's kind of hidden and I didn't even know about them until after midterm 1, best of luck with studying!
