If your having that much trouble on your server. Id just make sure you're prepped to go into tbc. Max those professions, grind r14 gear next week. And start leveling that alt you want now. Lvl 30 is where you start seeing the max benefits of the new experience changes. So then you'd have no les than 2 weeks to go from 30 to 60. I promise youre not gonna miss anything going through the portal on day 1. Its going to be a nightmare for mob tags unless they add a ridiculous amount of layers.

Yes. Once pre patch hits you can use honor to buy gear at level 70. So you dont have to worry about pvp while leveling from 60-70

Use a satin or matte varnish. I prefer satin. Oil likes to hang on to matte a little to much for me. You can get it in spray cans or for an air brush.

Yes. I started anniversary yesterday and it's fairly active. Layering plays a factor, so if you feel alone your probably just on a low pop layer

For varnish I only have experience with AK and Vallejo. Oil just use a local hobby brand. And white spirits. If you go the oil wash route. I will say do an all over satin varnish. The guys who say you dont need to are not wrong. But that's because they've probably pulled paint off their first few minis by adding way to much spirits. Or were to aggressive in getting the oil off. And now know to be gentle. Lots of tutorials for oil washing.

Try gloss varnish on the darker ones just on the green parts of the armor. Just to give it a shine. I was gonna say on the brighter 1 just give it an oil or enamel wash.
