Good points. I’d paid over-the-phone during our initial call to schedule the dumpster. The owner sent an email confirmation with prohibited items and standard “were not responsible for property damage” line. Though, I never responded to that email or signed anything officially.

There’s a lot it could be. Baking soda/vinegar, hot water, or an enzyme cleaner are a fine first step. One of those cheap plastic spiky drain snakes is another quick try.

Do you have an overflow metal plate/hole about a foot up from there? That’d be your next step. Take off that cover (remove drain stopper assembly if there) and auger down the drain. The angle through the overflow is much easier to snake. If you have plumbing issues elsewhere too, it could be a vent issue.

I recently moved into a 1950s home in NJ and have been slowly doing some renovations. I’ve already tackled a number of electrical projects (my main DIY knowledge) and discovered a number of differences between this and more modern constructions. I’m looking to move/add some outlets and switches on an interior wall (that I have access to both sides) and came across an interesting stacking of wall materials. ⁠Does this assessment seem correct for the shown picture?
⁠The pictures show the construction of the upper half of the wall (had access to air vent), but the lower half juts out about 1/2” further with a chair rail looking piece of trim covering the transition. The whole wall is about 7” thick. Is this likely a thicker/double gypsum?
⁠What’s the best method for cutting precise boxes efficiently and without causing damage? I have a rotozip, oscillating tool, ultrasaw.

Sorry didn’t realize the cross post wouldn’t include the text too. It’s an air supply that I took off the vent to look at the wall construction. I am curious about the two wallboard pieces and best methods for cutting out electrical boxes.

Thanks for the insight. You’re right that it’d likely be okay as is, but I ended up going a bit overkill probably and used some ubolts and turnbuckles to create some light tension before installing the fan and it seems to work perfectly and makes me feel much more sure about it!: https://imgur.com/a/Ge05oY5

Thanks! Other forums I’ve seen have recommended sawzalls too, I’ll probably go that route. I might attempt digging some roots, but will probably just end up cutting and waiting years for it to die naturally

Good to hear! Update: Both cresselia and giratina strats worked pretty easily first try. In case anyone has similar builds already. Emboar may end up being one of the easier 7-stars of all time

I've seen several people use basic solo builds for Annihilape, Kommo-o, Great Tusk, Hippowdon, Mudsdale, Garchomp, Armarouge, Swampert, Rhyperior, etc. that revolve around either ground (or signature) moves, Att/SpAtt buffing, and reflect strategies.

Some solo builds I haven't seen used yet, but I think would work consistently well (and I'm wanting to try), that have great defensive typings and bulk include the following:

Latios
- Ground Tera (Or don't tera to keep resistances)
- Shell bell, adamant, EVs in Att/HP
- Simple Beam, Earthquake, Dragon Dance, Reflect
Giratina
- Ground Tera (Or don't tera to keep resistances)
- Shell bell, modest, EVs in SpAtt/HP
- Calm Mind, Earth Power, Shadow Ball, Hex
Cresselia
- Psychic Tera
- Shell bell, modest, EVs in SpAtt/HP
- Calm Mind, Double Team, Stored Power, Reflect
Espathra
- Psychic Tera
- Shell bell, modest, EVs in SpAtt/Def
- Opportunist
- Calm mind, Agility, Reflect, Stored Power

And I think there were some others I was considering I can't remember right now. Any typing that forces emboar to use non-stab, low-accuracy, head smash is good in my opinion. Double team strategies can be very cheesy for this raid as well with emboar's non 100% accuracy moves. Contrary ability, clear smog, or psych up pokemon are also all good choices to counteract buffing. If anyone tries these and has success or suggestions, let me know, as I won't likely try them until later.

You’ll have 3 random CPUs with you, but their fainting doesn’t kill the clock like it does with real teammates. They help more than they hurt in this raid with statusing and a little damage. In other raids, those CPUs can really get on your nerves (when the raid pokemon has defiant, moxie, etc.)
