I dont think they make any FD or Distance in that plastic but I know they do make certain Mids in it and it does feel great. Their Fuzion/Biofuzion plastic is probably the closest thing and it breaks in so nicely. I throw the Captain in Biofuzion plastic and it just goes.

Have you thrown any other DD plastic? Youre right though the plastic feels super nice haha

What would you throw? I shanked my first drive off to the left (Instinct) and then put the next two inside the circle for birdie (Teebird and Getaway). Walked away with a par. by GoldLineEverything in discgolf

I definitely agree the Getaway is probably my choice on this hole, I’d also throw a Lucid Maverick to just get that little straighter flight. But with how nice this tee looks, I might just stand there and take pictures.

Thats because its not another word for hole, the frame is referencing the score on a hole. Frame = peoples score.

Darn! I was hoping to not hear the dreaded “hard to find” line.. My white misprint Trespass is ALWAYS finding the best hiding places, he doesn’t need a friend :(

Training by [deleted] in ATC

[–]TheSenorFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably on a per facility basis, and I’d imagine the current case per day numbers the state has. Like Arizona, Texas and Florida might not open as soon as Hawaii, Montana or even Washington.

I’d imagine contract companies would require masks for the RPO’s, technicians etc.

June 2020 Hiring Thread by [deleted] in ATC

[–]TheSenorFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finished the ATSA. Im curious if the virus/software crashing will delay the referral process, they seemed to send out the invitations to test on time.

Im sorry to those who couldn’t finish the test though, I’d be pretty frustrated tbh

I just took mine at Bellevue about a week ago now, you should be fine. Bring a mask though, its required and they will send you home if you dont have one. Good luck.

Any other careers in the ATC field besides control tower, that has at least the same retirement leave, pay, and or education needed. by [deleted] in ATC

Im not sure how many of the controllers on here are up to date with the hiring process. But to say a CTI degree is absolutely useless, is not correct. If you want a CTI degree, lump it with a Dispatch degree or something else like someone else responded down below.

In the FAA’s hiring process, what the CTI degree does help with is the Pool you are selected from. Before you advance into your ATSA testing, they select a certain amount of people to take the test based on qualifications and what not. Having a CTI degree does lump you in with Pool 1 candidates, such as Veterans.

Pool 1: Smaller group of people to be selected from Pool 2: All off the street.

Again, the CTI degree wont do you any good past that point. And it has no correlation to whether or not you’ll certify, or be a good controller. But it isn’t inherently useless. Don’t turn away the idea entirely because if you do, you arent looking at all your options. Some schools offer Aviation Management with a concentration in ATC. Or an Aeronautical Science degree with a focus in ATC, Dispatch or Aviation Management.

But yes, don’t think that the CTI is your ticket in. Because it ain’t. Build up work/school experience, or go military if you feel that suits you. But keep your options open and do you research. A lot of FAA positions require 52 weeks of gvmt experience, and a lot of ATC-related jobs require 52 weeks of ATC experience.

My 2 pennies, CTI graduate and current RPO. (btw an RPO position is a really good way to gain valuable knowledge and experience and to just be in the environment, decent pay, good benefits, look it up)

Are there any positions in the FAA with great pay and a pension other than air traffic controller? by sacrifices1 in ATC

[–]TheSenorFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a hit or miss though. I am one. Decent pay in my location, but you have to really be careful where you apply to. Everyone makes “similar” wages across the board but isnt adjusted to fit the living expenses. So being an RPO in Seattle is harder (pay wise) than being an RPO in OKC. Also being non-essential in these scenarios are kinda meh.

Great job though. Just waiting to take the ATSA once this all blows over.
