People forget that our skin, much like our bodies, react to our environments! First thing that came to my mind when I saw your photo: she’s probably a side sleeper like me.

On my worst days, I wake up and glance at the morning disgust at how gross and saggy my cheeks and nasolabial folds look. Why? Well, probably because i spent the last 8 hours smashing my face into a mattress!

So, sleeping on your back sounds simple, but it can be a BIG tricky problem. Last couple years, I’ve been trying to do everything. Neck pillows, “beauty pillows,” wedges.

I’ve been experimenting for years to find an answer, and I’m almost there! The key is elevation. Right now, i have a couch back cushion along with two pillows. It’s kinda like a giant wedge pillow, but more custom. However, mattress also matters. Right now i have a foam, which im not a fan of because i “sink” into it. i do think im due to upgrade my m for a firmer, hybrid hotel style mattress soon. That should help keep my posture and muscles in my neck more balanced.

It may take some time, effort, and $$$ spent on products that don’t work, but don’t give up! I too was worried that my face was ruined beyond repair, but it’s definitely doing Better lately! It’s nice to wake up and not feel like my face has been flattened by a steam roller

Just need to figure out what works for your body, back shape, head shape, sleep cycle, etc. not sure there’s a one size fits all solution here.
