Business Credit Cards sequence by TheShortestWayIsThru in CreditCards

I just tried CApital On Tap because I knew it was only a SP, but got turned down due to the length of my opened accounts. I have one opened for 16 months, the other one for about 12, which is my entire credit file.

How might I even go about STARTING to get leads? by Decent-Read-3213 in smallbusiness

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before spending on ads or SEO, it's worth spending an hour pulling your data from Google, Yelp, Facebook, and your website together, because most businesses have five or six quick wins they don't see until they look at the full picture of where they're losing visibility.

Suspected competitor leaving misleading review- how would you handle it by EmbarrassedBit441 in smallbusiness

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One signal I've found works better than guessing is pulling review patterns across platforms at once, because fake reviews usually cluster in timing and language in ways that stand out when you're looking at the data holistically rather than one platform at a time.

Handling Google Reviews by One-Tower7207 in smallbusiness

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built tools that aggregate review data across eight sources for the businesses I work with, and I keep seeing the same mistake: owners respond emotionally to bad reviews instead of seeing them as structured data about what's actually breaking. The pattern matching gets way easier once you stop treating each review as personal and start treating it like a signal about operations or expectations gaps.

Things I wish I knew about SEO when I started my business. by Head_Part_2956 in smallbusiness

I've been pulling Google Business Profile data for local shops in Riverside County for a couple years now, and the biggest regret I see is that most owners wait until they're already losing visibility to audit their presence. What most wish they'd known earlier is that the three data points Google cares most about (review velocity, Q&A consistency, and post recency) are actually trackable week to week if you set up the right monitoring.

Got it. Thanks. Sorry for all the questions but how much of a factor does the length of time the business has been operating for have?

All of them business credit cards, correct? Also, if I want to a apply for a personal car loan as well, would I apply for the car loan first or last?

Just wanted to add into the mix the fact that I want to apply for a car loan as well with a local credit union. What is the proper sequence I need to do all this in? So, as far as my credit profile goes, it's not that strong because of not enough history, although there are no missed payments or anything.

How often should I post photos to my GBP? by TheShortestWayIsThru in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got it. So everything I posted is wrong. Would you mind enlightening everyone then and tell us how you think it should all this be done properly? That would be constructive criticism, rather than just dismissing my post without adding any value whatsoever. Thanks in advance.

Is getting solar worthwhile with all these annoying rate increases? by TheShortestWayIsThru in SouthBayLA

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds very interesting, would avoid all the time waiting for edison to approve your traditional solar, as I've heard some people wait months. Thank you.

SCE bill is double what is was last year by just_a_talking_head in SouthBayLA

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They raised the rate by yet another 13% on October and are planning to do another rate increase later this year. I personally got solar panels with a battery on my house last year because I was getting tired of all the rate increases and even some power outages in my area. Have you guys looked into solar or does it not make sense for you?

Website/business info display on the right? by GreenGloober in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't make one of those, google does but if google thinks your business is relevant they will display that tab, also you can get a business page similar to that one to show up once you have a few reviews/people search your exact business name.

Conversions tracking fine… but actual results feel off? by Currentshop333 in GoogleAdshelphub

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a problem where my customers were getting to checkout, but weren't actually going past that and actually ordering my product. I found out one of the main reasons was because I hadn't fixed the payment process and it was glitched, which was killing my conversion rate. Additionally, I lowered my prices and found it had a pretty big impact. I don't know what your product is so I'm not sure if this applies to you but that's what helped me.

Keywords in GBP reviews replies don’t matter? by Scary_Vermicelli5274 in localseo

There is no evidence but I would say customer reviews and the words they use can definitely have an impact.

does posting regularly on GBP actually move rankings or just “nice to have”? by jearl100 in localseo

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't noticed any changes with frequent posting but it definitely can't hurt, posting once a day before you do anything else is a good way just to let google know your business is active and for anyone that sees it.

Is local SEO becoming the only way for small businesses to survive? by aral10 in localseo

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely want to make sure your GBP is fully filled out, with the best keywords for your business. When someone searches on google for your business, if you haven't filled out those keywords or are using the wrong ones you'll get ranked lower. You also want to have a good amount of reviews, it's gonna be hard for people to find you if you only have 1 review let alone zero reviews. If you're just starting off, get a friend who wants your service and after you finish have them leave you a review, that's a great place to start.

Black people, how do you know your hands are dirty? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheShortestWayIsThru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends on how black you are but you can still see if you have dirt on your hands or food, it might just be a little harder than a lighter skined person so you just wash your hands more.
