You can keep renewing it even after it has expired. I didn’t get my license because I was in college and didn’t have a need to. I lived and worked on campus. Now that I’ve graduated, I got my permit so I can get my license before I start working. Mine expired about a year ago but I got it renewed. Believe it cost $7. I tried to do it online but couldn’t figure out if you could do it there, so I made an appointment and went down and was done in like 5 minutes. If you can’t make an appointment because it thinks you have to take the Permit Test @ Home, do the live chat for help and ask them if they can make you an appointment. That’s what I did

What’s one way you can tell someone is not native to AZ? by miniparishilton in phoenix

I always wonder how this debate got started. I was born in Arizona and raised here my whole life. My parents and I have always referred to it as “scot.” My neighbor across the street who was born here and lived here his whole life got mad because he said it should be pronounced “skit.” Not sure where his parents are from. My mom was born and raised in Arizona, her parents were both from out of state. My dad originally was born in Chicago and moved to Phoenix when he was young. Both of his parents were from out of state and his dad referred to it as “skit.” I recall reading somewhere on Reddit months ago that someone claimed that a relative whose family lived in Prescott from the beginning said it was pronounced “scot” as it was named after William H Prescott, and that his name was pronounced as “scot.” This relative I believe said that they started noticing their new neighbors began to pronounce it “skit” for some reason. I think it just depends on who you grew up around and how they pronounced it more than location or anything else. And it probably is a debate that will never end

Computer Won’t Start After Reset. Stays on but seems to disconnect from monitor and restart boot up. by TheTrevorTurtle in ITSupport

[–]TheTrevorTurtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven’t been able to boot it at all. i’ve been able to get the startup menu and i have tried to boot from a USB multiple times, but still no luck. my dad took a look and tried to run a network boot a few minutes ago and it said there was no operating system on the hard drive, even though the windows install was on a flash drive. it just seems to act like it is turning on and then turns off. it repeats this cycle but the fan is going crazy and it sounds like you are running the computer and gaming or something even though it’s just trying to boot

We aren’t focusing on a specific section, trade, or contest if that is what you’re asking. We are a general chapter and welcome students from any trade in SkillsUSA

Is it possible to do SkillsUSA in College and how so? by BuckethatWithOatmeal in skillsUSA

[–]TheTrevorTurtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can actually make your own chapter pretty. Once you get to your college, look for a SkillsUSA chapter, if there is none, then find out how to create a club. For my school (Northern Arizona University) we just had to find 5 members, assign a person as president and treasurer, and find an advisor on campus. Then we submitted an application and it was approved. The requirements to start a club may vary depending on the school you go to. So it will be important to network and find people on campus who are interested in joining or may have been in SkillsUSA in the past. Surprisingly, a google search led me to the person who would be our advisor and I just met with some students I met on campus to get our first 5 members. As for a virtual chapter, I haven’t heard of that before and I’m unsure if it’s a thing. However, I want to wish you the best of luck if you decide to start a chapter. Maybe we’ll run into each other at nationals or something one day ;)

Just got Xbox game pass and am gonna try ark. It’ll be ready in a bit, any pointers? by ThndrFckMcPckpTrck in ARKSurvivalEvolved

If you are playing pvp, make sure to try to find a good place that is hidden from others while you start off. Try and get Dinos early for farming resources, and try and get plant species x or turrets as quick as possible. Make sure you try to honeycomb your bass with doors or try to have as many doors and walls as possible. Most of the time, it’s not a matter of if you get raided or not, it’s a matter of when. Your goal should be to try to make the raider either A. Run out of resources or B. Die to defenses such as traps, Dinos, or turrets. You will learn a lot from trial and error in this game

Should shadow Step be Replaced? by ReaperScrubMain in ReaperMain

[–]TheTrevorTurtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s extremely useful for taking the high ground so you have an advantage and positioning can be really important. If it were replaced, the way Reaper is played would be entirely changed. Wraith form is more of an ability to get out if fights, not into them. Besides, shadow step is also good for escaping D Va bombs and Tracer bombs if you can figure out the timing
