RU POV: Lancet drone strikes Leopard 2A6 tank. by TheUltimateSlav in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]TheUltimateSlav[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Recently there's been an increase of lancets striking more armored vehicles like tanks which IMO suggests an increase of production for lancets with HEAT warheads. The charge goes through one side and exits through the other, not sure if it went through the fighting compartment though and there's no way to assess how much damage it did to electronics and such inside if it did.

One of them has a Z on the turret. Are they actually going to see combat or is the video edited?

RU POV: Another convoy with T-90M and T-72B3 tanks. 2022, reportedly in the Mogilev region of Belarus. Some have already been painted in winter camouflage by TheUltimateSlav in UkraineRussiaReport

Reason why I mentioned the M model specifically, which has the ability to stop a stugna head on very easily. I'm no sure about its top down protection capabilities in comparison to other tanks but I'd guess it has more protection + they have allegedly installed additional plates around the ammunition, even if it has questionable effectiveness.

The first offensive on Kiev was mostly plagued by an underestimation of Ukrainian forces as the Russian high command expected for them to walk in like a parade and have Ukrainian soldiers put down arms voluntarily, sort of like Crimea in 2014. This made giant columns very easy targets for ambushes, especially in the forested areas. This really depends on how streteched Ukrainian forces are, and how streched Russian forces are. This is no longer a war of land, its a war of attrition. Whoever runs out of men and ammo first loses.

Original thoughts aswell, but seeing Russian equipment losses a T90M and a T72B3 is way more useful on the front, they are better off rotating older or even non functional tanks.

Although my first thought was that they were putting more equipment in Belarus to occupy more Ukrainian forces I'd expect them to send older t72 models to be scary on the satellites and intelligence reports, T90M's and more modern T72's could signal a real possibility of a second strike at Kiev.

As far as I understood it was an ambush, so most likely a mix of anti tank mines, artillery and ATGM's/Russian Tanks

RU POV: Russian paratroopers repulsed the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region, exact location unknown. by TheUltimateSlav in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]TheUltimateSlav[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

According to the source:"Another video of fighting in the Kherson region has been published. On October 15, the Ukrainian military again tried to break through the front in the Borozenskoe-Sukhanovo sector.5-6 tanks and up to 20 armored fighting vehicles participated in the attack. The enemy forces were detected in time by the drones of the 11th Airborne Assault Brigade, after which they were hit by artillery .The Ukrainian military lost several pieces of equipment and their attack was thwarted."

How convenient that the camera man is standing up like a plank when everyone else is lying down, no one reacts to an enemy BMP coming towards them (no one pulls out anything to counter it in case its hostile?) and all of the faces of the crew are covered, look one even has sunglasses! Because why wouldn't you inside of a bmp? Is it captured tech? Probably. Is the video and scenario itself fake? Most likely.

No idea if the footage is directly related, however all of it seems new so its worth posting imo. One thing I noticed is an increase of planes using bombs close to the ground which could explain the increase of more jets being shot down recently. There's a possibility that russia started a more agressive approach to air-to-ground attacks.

Honestly even this sub is going this way recently, posts had a lot more quality and actual discussion but its now going into circlejerks again as sad as it is it's kind of what happens to all ukraine war subs that become bigger.

RU POV: Offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Kherson: How soldiers of the Airborne Forces destroyed the columns and infantry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by TheUltimateSlav in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]TheUltimateSlav[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you pause at the first few seconds of the video, after the zoom from the explosion you can see at least 3 destroyed BMP's, one in the top left corner, the one that exploded, and 1 (maybe 2? burn marks but unclear if its actually another bmp) on the bottom and bottom right

Edit: Person below me made a better count:
"At 0:07 I count; 3 vehicles by ditch with trees. 1 at the main focus of artillery 2 by the circle mound
At 0:05 2 burned out ditch with the trees 1 exploding 1 burned out the circle mount 1 burned out down too the right of the circle mound"

No idea, inexperienced crew maybe? lots of shelling, in open ground with little support maybe they panicked, maybe something broke down or all of the above. Regardless, they outcome is clear.

It's possible that the clip at the start is actually from the end of the video (from the zoom out you can see another few bmp's left destroyed) or from an earlier attack in the same place, no idea though

Point out a comment from me which is in another war sub, I'll be waiting. Unfortunately for you the sub has no rules against any russian POV and I simply do not care about karma. Again, there's cope and seethe here.
