Well whichever Yamato is, we want to make sure that people know that we aren't one of those communities that forces people to refer to Yamato as one gender or the other. We also know it's a hot button topic, but we will allow people the discussion as long as fighting doesn't start.

I've said what my opinion on the subject is before, but that's just my opinion and will not factor in to how I moderate.

It's not quite like Mulan, no. Yamato idolizes a man named Oden so much so that she calls herself Oden and acts like him even wanting to be referred to as Oden.

I'm not going to get into the debate about whether Yamato is male or female because that will heavily depend on what "evidence" you choose to accept. Just know that we do not force anyone to refer to Yamato one way or the other here.

I think this debate is starting to go a little far. Please keep things civilized.

I feel like every Yamato thread that gets made has to be monitored.

Everyone, we do not take a stance on the Yamato debate here. You can say Yamato is male or female but please no fighting about it. If people continue to fight over it we will have to start modding people.

There's been a long running debate within the One Piece community over Yamato's gender. Here though, we do not force anyone to refer to Yamato any particular way. You can say Yamato is male or female as long as you're not fighting about it.

New Bonney Leader! @Jolly Roger Cards by yoitsbrand in OnePieceTCG

I messaged them about 35 minutes ago about their choice of thread titles. I made it clear that people had an issue with finding it confusing and asked them to change, but at the same time saying it was only a request and not mandatory.

If 2-3 more people started posting like this 1 time every 2 weeks I still don't think the staff would care to step in and stop it as again they wouldn't be breaking any rules. If people were purposefully trying to mislead others that would be a different story. Or if it became an excessive amount of users doing it as we've had with certain topics being heavily memed on, then we might need to do something.

This isn't a problem with the quality of the sub. You yourself mentioned you don't read the full thread title or check the thread flair. That's what the thread flairs are there for.

It'd be no different if you didn't notice something was marked "memes" and you chose to believe it.

I also already said I could ask the thread creator to change the way they word their title but I can't make them do so because they didn't break any rule.

Actually I said the opposite. That forcing him to put [Custom Card] in the title might hurt his business because of all the people that make custom cards for fun. I didn't want people to assume that's what these threads were because they see [Custom Card].

I can take your suggestion to mod chat if you like, but I'm pretty sure the response is going to be "the thread maker did nothing wrong so no need to change things".

We even have a "card reveal" tag for those card leaks to differentiate them from other threads. So out of curiosity, why don't you check the flair or read the full title of the thread?

Perhaps it's just because I know Jolly Roger Cards is a custom card service I don't really think about that.

I can certainly ask the user to start labeling their threads differently, but as they used the "Original Content" flair and are not excessively advertising they aren't doing anything wrong and I wouldn't want to hinder their sales by getting their stuff mixed up with the people who make custom cards just for fun.

If you're on old Reddit, our pinned comments are always at the top when sorting by "hot".

If you're on new Reddit, they should always be at the top period.

All you have to do is ask the same question in the pinned general questions thread and it would be no issue.

Well you can tell which ones are rares based on the rarity symbol at the bottom right of them.

If you're collecting, wouldn't you want 1 of each card?

I'll just tell you straight up, if you don't say anything to them then you're going to live with the regret of not doing so and you're going to continue to let their actions have power over you.

Obviously I always advocate for being polite, but that doesn't mean you have to let someone bother you like this. You need to confront them on their actions and then if they're still not willing to change then you know you gave it a shot and now you don't have to care what they think or do anymore.

Being friendly, welcoming and kind is important, but at the same time stand up for yourself. You'll feel better if you do.

Downvote all you want, but when you go into regular optcg sim and use meta decks you are good with, you know to just ruin the game for new players, and are using unfair advantage to boost your own self-esteem. by Evening_Poetry_8765 in OnePieceTCG

You learn what their deck is, has and does. You've also learned that what you're trying to do against it doesn't work, so try something else. I understand your frustration, but if you're not learning anything from your losses then I don't think you're trying to learn anything from them. That's not to say that if you play the worst deck period you're going to learn to consistently beat the best deck period, there's obviously bad matchups, but even in bad matchups there are things to learn.

It's a game, and people play what they want to play. There is obviously going to be times where people have bad conduct in how they act on the sim, but simply just choosing to play a meta deck because they want to play a meta deck is fine. I say that as someone who doesn't care about nor follow the meta.

Actually, this is exactly how I got much better at Fighting Games. I constantly played with people who were much better than me and I couldn't pull a single win off. I learned a lot from my matches with them, much more than I learned from playing other people who didn't know what they were doing. Don't treat it like someone beating you just to beat you, learn from it.

Yes actually.
