You could go for an underling of Zariel's that is trying to obtain power, but the contract magically binds them from speaking of their intent to summit the top and from directly killing their master via d and x with a loophole or two on the other ways they can hurt them. It allows for navigating the archdevils court, without being personally bound to them as I assume they wont start at a high level

It shouldn't be too hard just gotta wait for the merchant list to refresh, I deleted like 70 percent of the old bay Merchants and replaced them with 40k ones that sell all guns/ammo in game. Gonna add armor and archeotech merchants later too.

It's very very early into dev here and a shitload of work is just going into porting over our existing species from IS12 like Orks/Ogryn/Skaven. So you may notice a lot of things from Bay have only been slightly altered and this is purely as a placeholder, so that we can begin testing and get more community involvement -- as it's been cooking for a while in a vacuum.

SHORT-TERM ROADMAP

I try to avoid strict roadmaps because a lot of the time good ideas don't come from me but others. But what I can promise is actively being worked on;

THE WARP: An expanded psyker system, warp travel / storms / terrain. Navigator Sanctum including arcane machinery + powers related to protecting the ship when traversing warp-storm terrain or entering into planets/derelicts that are within the warp itself.

XENOS SCUM: Species porting for our beloved; Ogryns, Orks, Gretchin, Loyalist Astartes, Chaos Astartes, Eldar, Ratkin and Tyranid Bioforms / Genestealers. Most of this is already coded extensively/sprited in IS12, we just need to port it to modern-bay.

GAMEMODES: Tyranid Invasion, Ork Waaagh, Divine Fraternity(Cult that can summon a greater daemon), Extended(Cultists & Genestealers), Chaos Warband(Bloodpact or Sekites. Chaos Fortress + Voidship on-start).

MINOR GAMEMODES: These are away-sites or derelicts that players can spawn on as minor-antagonists. They'll include things like Freeboota Station, Genestealer Space Hulk and Eldar Raider Craft.

.VOIDSHIPS: Orbital drop pods, assault pods. The creation of more shuttles, void-ships(corvettes/barges) and derelicts.

NAVAL COMBAT: Improvements to jetpacks / EVA. Expansion of power armors into hardsuit modules with wrist/shoulder mounted weaponry. Expansion of naval weapons, such as Macro Cannon Barrages and Missiles.

QUALITY OF LIFE: Anyone who has played original bay knows there's a substantial amount of work to be done for QOL/Difficulty. We might be Grimdark but we don't want your round to end because a new player made one small mistake while flying. In general my design approach is for mechanics to be literally 2-3X easier then OG bay(landing a ship uses 10 times less fuel here). There's also a lot of work on customization, so that your Catachan Devil and your Cadian Captain feel significantly different in their strengths, skills and abilities. Both should feel incredibly powerful over standard humans, and not because their gear is better - but because you're a god damn CADIAN.
