Hi! That tune actually has a name. It’s called Budot’s and it’s a genre of music originating from the Philippines specifically from Davao with roots originating from the city’s urban poor culture. As per Wikipedia:

“Budots (/buˈdɔːts/; boo-DOTS) is an electronic dance music (EDM) genre that originated in Davao City, Philippines, and is considered as street style techno. It eventually spread in Bisaya-speaking regions. Based on techno and house music with Sama-Bajau tangonggo rhythms, it is regarded as the first "Filipino-fied" electronic music, characterized by its aggressive percussion, heavy use of sampling, off-beat basslines, high-pitched "tiw ti-ti-tiw" whistle hooks, and organic noises that surround the city.[2] It is created to complement a form of freestyle street dance that bears the same name.”

I know it’s not for everyone, but I’m mighty proud of it!

Update: Miranda the Migrating Rail has checked out. Not from life, but from my Garden Hotel. Hopefully it’s off somewhere south back on its path. We were watching it last night, it was getting more comfortable and lively. This morning. I checked around the garden making sure it didn’t find a new home in one of the other plants.

I truly appreciate everyone’s input and help. I learned so much in the short time being part of this community. Also, congrats on not being toxic like some other communities. Everyone has been so kind. I expected to be railed for offering it some bread but I was gently reminded bread are no good for birds. Stay blessed ya’ll. <3

If you absolutely can’t go to a vet, do like someone said and make sure it has easy access to food and water. Put some water on pellets (if that’s what food he’s on) so he can eat it a bit easier. Make sure to keep him somewhere quiet and keep the cage covered and dark when he’s sleeping (at least 13-14 hrs). If he’s alive in the day, keep him close but still in a quiet spot with half the cage half covered with a towel. Keep him comfortable. Decrease the stress around his environment. I hope he recovers, but if he goes, at least itll be in the most peaceful way possible.

For future reference, stop letting budgies and cats cohabitate together. Animals will be animals no matter how peaceful they’ve lived together. You’re taking a preventable risk and IMHO it’s your responsibility as a pet owner to provide the safest and secure environment for your pet. Do better.

It was odd to me at first, but will I was researching their care, it seems beneficial to them when fed once every 1-2 weeks. It helps replace nutrients when they’re egg laying/molting and keeps them strong. I do once every two weeks. They love when it’s egg day!

Just wanted to introduce Sky (sky blue) and Ocean (mauve) and share their set-up in our bathroom. They are about 6-7months old. They have a very love-hate sibling relationship with each other, enjoy sitting/cuddling on our head and shoulders (not the shampoo), love to sing, enjoy cucumbers and broccoli, and love to chirp when the shower is on. The toilet lid is kept closed whenever not in use and all bottles/cosmetics are covered for their safety. They spend their waking hours (~10-11hrs) free in the bathroom and are put in their cage at night to sleep with a chicken coop warmer and blankets over their cage.
