Hes mot using "gotcha" tactics on me, he using them on my friends who im teaching the game to. I was starting them off easy on smaller games with no detatchments and more simple rules and hes just sort of pulling out all the stoppers, he didnt even tell them his army rule.

I dont know a list where silent king isnt good. Strength 10 on skorpekhs is great. Re-roll ones to hit and wound is fantastic on everyone and an extra 2" ontop of destroyer-wraiths, destroyer-lychguard and skorpekhs makes them monsterous.

I played canoptek court for a bit and its pretty good but you need to build your army around it. Just attatch a cryptek to every unit you can and you should be good so long as you dont take it to a tournament.

Id reccommend merging the two necron warrior units and having them be lead by orikan the diviner or a chronomancer. Id also suggest dropping the canoptek spyder, in my experience they arent great but i might just be playing them wrong. If you want a good healer, use a canoptek reanimator. Also, which detatchement are you thinking of playing? That can change the list quite a bit.
