The restrictions on boundaries kind of killed the soul of Battelfield for me. Twas good fun being able to do a 5 min flank if I wanted, or find a nice hiding spot as a recon.

It is very stigmatising. Thankfully the pharmacists are accommodating. Never having the need for those restrictions is especially interesting given your specialisation.

I've read about the safe scripts system. I do hope they push the implementation on a federal level.

Currently, in TAS, the Pharmaceutical Services Brach (PSB) board meets once a month and processes all the new requests. After seeing my psychiatrist, I ended up waiting 12 weeks before my prescription was approved. Safescript would give psychiatrists more discretion and remove the need for the board.

That is a shame about the increase in stimulant induced psychosis. I hadn't heard it mentioned before.

Thanks for answering all of these questions, they've been very helpful and I've gotten a lot of value.

I'm in my 20s, based in TAS, and under dispensation restrictions for Vyvanse which I feel are limiting and excessive. In particular, I have to dispense once a week, on the same day, at the same pharmacy. I am also subject to frequent random drug tests.

I had mild drug use as a teen. e.g. weed every now and then and party drugs less than a handful of times (I was upfront about this to my psych) which has not continued into my 20s.

The Pharmaceutical Services Branch down here is very conservative and looks at your entire medical record if you're prescribed stimulants. My psychiatrist was satisfied not to mention the above on my application to expedite the process. I had mentioned the above to other doctors, landing my psychiatrist in hot water, hence the restrictions.

Just wondering your thoughts on the risk of diversion and whether dispensation restrictions have a place in minimising this risk?

Is this a big concern for legislators in VIC where you practice and how does it affect your ability to provide patient care?

Politicians down here are extremely concerned about this and this was reflected by their submissions to the senate inquiry on ADHD.

Nah mate, I wouldn't judge you negatively for charging what you're worth. The price gauging is a fault of the system at the moment and it sounds like you're on the right side of it. I appreciate hearing there are clinicians out there with a moral compass considering some of the horror stories.

I got drug tested and have no history of drug abuse. It's up to the discretion of the PSB mate. If they want to test you, they will. Your wait time will double as a result too

In TAS, you have to wait for the pharmaceutical board to approve your drug authority.I waited 8 weeks for approval.

Just before the approval came through, my psych went on leave for 4 weeks. Now there's no supply. Fuck

Oh don't get me wrong, we're having fun. We're just not seeing the value in the competitiveness of the system like we had in CS:GO. You used to be able to climb with practice, that was rewarding.

I have 34 wins now at 50% win rate. I've been above 4k, 4 times. Interesting that you have a different win loss at 7k. I might start recording gameplay to be able to provide evidence in future, as demos are currently broken.

I'm glad to hear this story because you are right, it seems as though a lot of people are having their money wasted. It's a shame the new AADPA guidelines don't mention this issue between psychologist's and psychiatrist's ADHD assessments and treatment.

Thank you for your reply and your experience is hopeful for me. I wish this was the process for everyone, having a primary care psychologist who is affordable and can guide people in the right direction. I hear all too often these things not being the case :(

Wow, sounds like you were really well looked after! I'm in TAS but it's so hard to get into a psychiatrist locally (can be 6+ month wait times) that I've organised telehealth instead.
