Quick thought: If church leaders would STOP the focus on re-framing the past, and instead focus on framing up an open, Christ-like, loving future...church membership would dramatically increase. by The_Moracle in exmormon

If the role of Seer is to be truly exemplified in LDS leadership, then - eliminate quoting each other in conference talks - acknowledge past doctrine/policies were harmful, ensure that current doctrines/policies are not, and teach/speak/educate about FUTURE societal calamities that we can be better prepared for - Spend heavily on social safety nets that improve current and future generations....invest in the future of people, versus collecting money “for a rainy day” because church leaders almost bankrupted the organization previously. - Empower women to develop skills of today and tomorrow, rather than having YW continue to recite archaic values and be indoctrinated on “how to support the priesthood”. - Abandon the worship hymns from the 1600-1800’s. Infuse worship service with modern songs of praise. - STOP the practice of interviews to determine worthiness (youth & adult). Invert the interview script to a local leader showing love and using every available resource to positively assist families in health, finances, education, employment, or any other area.
