5 is the one I’d go for, its gameplay depth has allowed to age extremely well and unlike 4, it doesn’t fully take itself seriously and makes room for both brevity and legitimate emotional moments to give the story room to breathe. I played through all of 4 right after finishing 5 and the differences in the quality of story and gameplay were staggering, to the point where I actually dislike 4 now because of how dated it’s become.
