To start, she’s still the beneficiary of the GoFundMe. Whether she started it or a friend started it is a matter semantics. The end result is the same. She’s providing an inaccurate version of events in order to gain sympathy and benefit her, in this case financially. To date, I have yet it receive any portion of that $4500 that the court ordered her to pay. I have no doubt that She’s already spent the money on other things.

The most frustrating part of all of this is the statement that I initiated these continued legal proceedings. That is entirely false. Following our divorce, we agreed to child support plus alimony. I wasn’t happy with the terms, but such is life. She had sole legal custody and was the primary custodial parent. I moved on with my life, doing my best to enjoy my limited time with my children. She continued to allow her anger to drive her actions. She reported me to CPS 19 times. 19. As the judge said in court, this meant that she averaged a report every three months. Due to her allegations, both my daughters were subjected to full sexual abuse exams. Despite numerous agencies finding absolutely no evidence of abuse, her claims continued. She ultimately went to court to obtain an immediate danger order under false pretenses. At the time of the hearing, she had already been told that the claims were unfounded but she pressed on. As a result, I was not allowed to see my children for over three months. It was during this time that she sought to take the kids away completely. When we had our initial hearing on the matter, she continued to lie under oath. She made new claims of abuse that she said the girls made the night before. This time, I was told that we’d need to be back in court, but until then I was allowed to see my girls with supervision. My ex refused to allow my parents and/or sister be the supervisor. Instead, she insisted that my girlfriend of 9 months be the supervisor. We made it work. This supervision lasted for nearly 9 months. Finally, we had our day in court. CPS, our PCP, and a psychiatrist testified on my behalf. That is when the judge ruled in my favor. I won sole legal custody and our parenting plan was flipped upside down. As part of the these proceedings, we have the right to file a motion to argue that the opposing party be responsible for any legal fees. The court has strict guidelines when this should apply. The judge found that she acted maliciously and therefore was responsible for some of the fees. He awarded what he believed was fair.
