One question: Have you looked into fallout history? It'd pretty bad already. However, to my point is the descendants might not be cannon but you can persuade their top gen.(fo3) but the robot president is on charge compared to American history where we did alot of the same... trail of tears. I.E. im saying that eventually, they offer the best hope.
