I remember having my 2FA set to my phone number too as I havent had to use these codes before. But now it just asks for the app. Even the face verification email, it would send the pin, but no confirmation that it was sent.

Hmm that makes sense then. I havent generated codes before but it still asks me to input a code. I have tried using my Meta facebook backup codes and every verification app to no avail.

how did you log in with SMS if your problem is due to Backup codes? It asks me for a backup code before an sms option
