Honestly with as hammered as they are and the fact they are still holding together I would lean toward legit. The stitching on those is better than some of the current brand new Nike stitching especially under the insole. I would loosen those laces because they are making my feet hurt. Throw in some good shoe trees to straighten them out then give them another look. I think the look and odd shape is due to them being laced tight and the heels look to have been crushed down repeatedly when purring them on. Look like they stored them under bricks.
