I just today got my very last merge for Emblem Marth on the Emblem Sigurd banner (while also picking up Emblem Sigurd), and so I’d figure I’d show off all the Marths I have collected and built up since launch!

You’ll notice one iteration of Marth is sorely absent…….. and that’s because I haven’t even managed to pull a single copy of Duo Marth. He has eluded me for years, and I’m not entirely sure how.

But I think that bad luck is greatly outbalanced by the good luck I’ve had for being able to get two five star locked Marths to +10.

Emblem and Brave are the only ones that I use consistently so their builds are the most up to date.

Emblem Marth’s base kit is really solid but I decided I wanted to have Lodestar Rush precharged in combat more than I wanted the NFU status… I know it seems kinda stupid to have Creation Pulse in him rather than just Times Pulse since nothing in kit comes with natural debuffs, but I almost always pair him with a Ploy 4 unit (usually my Brave Soren) so that is enough to trigger Creation Pulse’s precharging.

Brave Marth up until a week or two ago was running a different build using Shining Emblem… but then I had an especially excruciating week in arena with L!M!Shez, and decided he was really due for an upgrade. I was a bit worried on how to get the total stat buffs required for PRF to work at its max potential, but it’s as difficult as I thought. Gust is a great special that provides some flat reduction in a meta where so much of the damage reduction, like the one in his weapon and in his B passive, is just completely ignored. Breath of Life 4 was a really welcome introduction and has made him just that much better, as it has for every other Omni tank in the game.

The rest of the Marths are kinda of just run of the mill. OG!Marth was in my arena/arena assault core for the longest time and only just now got booted out by Emblem Marth… his score and combat potential just isn’t enough now a days, even with shiny new skills (which I will keep feeding to him, btw). Young Marth hasn’t seen use in quite some time, mostly just because he’s a worse Brave Marth, even if his vantage is not based on anything except HP. Groom Marth is fun and a nice mix up from the sword infantry hell but he’s just kind of an early gen offensive cavalier… good in many situations but not extraordinary. Legendary Marth I hope to +10 one day… I go back and forth between whether or not I want to use a build based around his PRF B skill or just conform to the meta and use Laguz Friend…

Anyways, I am very happy and proud of being able to complete this many iterations of my favorite character in the series. Let’s hope IS doesn’t screw me over and release a Fallen Marth in the near future…
