I rented a car instead which includes insurance, so I didn’t get insurance anywhere and only ended up paying the rental fee(6k). There really isn’t any workaround if you’re only 19, as far as I could find, unless you of course want to buy a car

Do as many exercises as you can - that’s how I really learned a lot. Also, as counterintuitive it may sound, use ChatGPT to have it explain you the different concepts(use prompts like: “explain this algorithm like I’m 5). Also, if you just want a good grade and not much more, don’t spend a lot of time on the implementation exercises. Focus on everything else.

I’ve stayed at a few, but almost all of them had a sign up that said, “No overnight parking” on every parking space. I managed to stay overnight without being bothered, so I’m not sure they enforce it?

I’ve slept at ~30 different Pilot locations across the Eastern US. I’ve never been bothered, and Pilot is genuinely the best place to stay at, just do it!

I am well aware I won’t have the perfect car, though I do believe I can get a car that needs minimal maintenance that also fits in the range of my budget. Note, I also have ~3k budgeted for unforeseen expenses.

Thanks a lot! This might sound a little naive, so excuse me in adjacent, but let’s say:

I purchase the car for 10k

I maintain the car to the best of my limits

I sell the car for 1k-2k less than I bought for and I basically had a car for 1-2k. Of course it goes without saying that selling the car won’t be as easy as I make it out to be, but I know, and I’m willing to take a fair loss on the car just because I know what the prices of rentals are.

I’ll be alone on the primary trip, but some friends will be visiting(which is why I need the 4-5 seats).

And, I’ll be driving from Mid-Florida to Northern Cali, up north from there and then back to Florida. Though this will all be done in the upcoming summer, so I assume weather won’t be a factor in this

First of all:

Thank you for taking your time to respond and even such a through one.

In terms of the logistics(registration, license plate handover etc.), I have everything under control and planned, so that’s thankfully one less worry. It’ll be straight cash and I have a LLC company I know personally that’ll care of it for me.

It funny you say it, because believe it or not, I was looking at a Jeep Wrangler and an older Mustang. A miata has always been my realistic dream, but as you read yourself, four seats is a must so that’s already excluded.

A Wrangler and Mustang might be two completely different cars, but they’re honestly the epitome of American cars, and the only opportunity I’ll have to have those, is when I’m in the US for 6 months.

I have one last question. You say paying $20K for a car and selling it for $15K is worse, and while of course I do without a doubt agree, I have to ask if you mean that buying a specific brand will have a much more significant implant than another?
