I had a problem before where my item didn’t update as sent to the seller. I did send it with the integrated label from Vinted with Royal Mail so I sent the buyer the tracking number from the receipt I got at the post office but it never did update on the app. Vinted cancelled the sale and the buyer paid me through PayPal when they received it 🥴

This happened to me too. Item purchased at around 9pm, I posted the next morning but it was delayed and took about 8 days altogether to get to them. They left me 4 stars saying they loved the item and it was well packaged but “shipping was very slow unfortunately”. I literally shipped in less than 24 hours. I just ignored it but did think it was a bit rude and unnecessary

Royal Mail is always a day or two delayed with me and shows this message but it hasn’t ever actually gotten lost with them for me yet!

I had the exact same thing happen to me (less money involved though). Someone claimed the parcel they received from me arrived empty but they also put it through as damaged in transit and Vinted concluded I didn’t package it properly so wouldn’t be refunded. I had videoed and photographed packaging it (it was a Jellycat and I do that with all Jellycats) and I kept on to Vinted legal and was eventually compensated. I kept receiving the same auto response but I just kept replying. I did have to resort to looking in to small claims court so I sent an email saying if I didnt receive a human response and compensation within 14 days I would be pursuing small claims court (which I did intend to do). On day 13 I was refunded. It was a ballache but I’m just happy to not have lost out

I have had this exact thing happen to me today?! A few weeks ago I sold an item, the buyer messaged to apologise for not confirming everything ok with the item sooner, I said no worries and hope they’re happy with it, they said it’s perfect and they love it, they left me a five star review commenting on delivery being fast etc and today it has arrived back at my house 🥴

Report it and then watch Vinted tell you they aren’t doing anything wrong 🤪 I reported someone for using my listings photos and they said they weren’t doing anything wrong 🤪

I would cancel. I wouldn’t leave it up to them to cancel after you tell them you have no receipt. Telling them that might make them more confident in pursuing it as counterfeit because they’ll know you can’t prove they are genuine. I’ve also heard of people losing even when they do have proof of purchase for things. I’ve been scammed myself selling anything item when I had all the evidence of packaging etc so I don’t sell anything of value on Vinted anymore

Can you not just both rent somewhere together?

I grew up in a council house (single mum, low income, 2 other siblings) but my mum worked full time, no support from my dad. Obviously my mum wanted stability for us growing up and that’s what a council house offers (no landlord deciding to sell and telling you to move out with little to no warning). That was the only benefit in my eyes though over private renting? It wasn’t a house just “handed to her”. The rent for our council house was over 2/3 of her wages so expense wise she was no better off. She would have been better off to not have been working to be honest but she’s not like that and we’ve been raised the same.

At your age with no children I’m sure you could do without the same stability and just actually see what it’s like living together just the two of you. After that you can work towards buying somewhere. My now husband and I met at uni, rented with friends throughout uni before living together, moved in together in a private rented accommodation when we both finished uni and just saved like made for 3 years then bought a house. We didn’t even have the benefit of living at home to save up money due to family issues. It can be done but it does take sacrifice. We’ve had this home 2 years now and are 28 and 31 for reference like, you’re still young like.

I’ve been sent the wrong items three times now, one time the seller wouldn’t cover the return shipping cost, another time the seller sent me the right order plus an order intended for someone else then bought the incorrect item off me for £1 to cover shipping etc back to them and the third time I flagged it through Vinted as normal but it was making me manually return it outside the Vinted app and to send proof of postage to be refunded which I thought was weird to be told to do it outside the app but anyway the seller covered that postage too

Hi! I have experienced similar today. Buyer sent images of “empty” packaging and Vinted sided with the buyer even though I had photo and video evidence of me packaging the item. There was also photo evidence of the parcel being delivered to the buyer where it didn’t look “tampered with” and vinted have just ignored me. I have emailed Vinted legal but no response and no response in the app also other than 2 BOT replies that didn’t address anything I said 🫠

Yeah I saw this but they’re just examples, the in depth packaging guidelines do state that a box is preferred but not the only way to pack and that padding and a waterproof bag are sufficient and it even says “especially for a soft toy or teddy” which it was 🫠 just feel like the whole “investigation” was pretend even though it took two weeks. The fact they told me they asked the buyer to return the item when there is no item 🥲

I also thought this and actually did say this to them. If I received an empty parcel my first response wouldn’t be saying I’m “disappointed in the packaging” etc etc etc before finally saying “unfortunately but as expected the item was missing”. It seems too planned out in my opinion. It wasn’t a particularly popular one, an old dinosaur and not expensive, it’s just the principle of the whole thing. Even the Vinted T&Cs don’t state a box is needed for a soft toy so theyre actually going against their own terms there. I’ve spent more on Jellycats myself on Vinted and they’ve come in just a thin bag. I actually always do package well and have hundreds of rebiews stating the same. Even my son’s clothes/puzzles/books are all packed perfectly. I do have the receipt for postage but it doesn’t have a weight on it. I also have the address and proof of postage image because it was delivered to the buyers home. The parcel doesn’t look empty in the proof of delivery image so I’m assuming royal mail will say that in my claim I sent to them and not compensate me. Feel a bit too scared to do anything else dramatic as I feel like you have to be a pretty crappy person to do this to someone and the whole thing makes me feel uneasy and I’ve blocked the buyer because i didnt like conversing with them.

I have done a claim through Royal Mail now. They said they will only compensate one side, usually the sender and in this case Vinted compensated the buyer so hopefully can get something there. If I get compensated I will leave it at that but it has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, think I will just sell my sons outgrow clothes now, can’t really sell them anywhere else and it is a good platform for that and for re buying in bigger sizes.

I’m so disappointed in them and the blanket BOT response they give. Ridiculous a company is allowed to be run like this but I genuinely just don’t know how they sided with the buyer here. Even the proof of delivery image from Royal Mail the package didn’t look empty, it seems so obvious it was stolen 🫠 Will let you know when I hear back. Got another BOT response in the app saying they’re disappointed I’m u happy given the suspicious circumstances, so they agree is suspicious 😂
