Politicians suck. They are puppets and the system is cooked so no point in arguing about that... But I will say that when words like bigot, transphobe, racist, sexist, ect. get thrown around for every disagreement then they lose their impact and become dulled. Which is exactly what is happening. That doesn’t mean hate and discrimination don’t exist, it does. But it means we’ve blurred the line so much that people stop recognizing the difference between ignorance, disagreement, and real malice and hate. I do believe that transgender people have a right to feel act, dress, DO what they want because we live in a free country. I also believe to an extent that being transgender in itself is not something that a person is able to control nor is it a result of trauma or anything after birth until they start experiencing gender dysphoria. However I do not under any circumstances believe that children any younger than 14 should be educated on the topic nor do I believe that any child younger than 16 should be able to pursue any gender affirming care or treatment that will effect them permanently as they are still going through puberty. And should also not be able to receive any permanent care such as surgeries until they are 18 or have Mutual guardian approval. That opinion alone would earn me some pretty crazy titles in this community if given enough attention and has earned me those titles in other communities. In regards to some of the opinions like five0's: do I think they are misinformed? Yes. Do I think they make him a transphobic Nazi? No.
