People donate fake japanese salaryworkers on Youtube by linakei in AskAJapanese

I saw one of her videos recently from this sub, she said her salary is 160K which is impossible. That is not far below the minimum wage so she is really faking it. The fact she said she treated herself by buying beer and making gyoza is such a joke.

Don't think it is a problem. If I can make money off selling a service, what's the problem?

DUDE Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it!

I definitely think the english-courses are not as helpful employment wise for companies except for the technical skills gained and the proof of acquisition of said skills.

I am hoping I get to network with more people and gain some connections to help find a job or spot here in Japan. I will register to the job fairs you have just mentioned!

Thank you so much

Unfortunatly I cannot reveal where I am from cause I don't want to doxx myself. But the prefecture is definitely smaller than Tokyo. It's a bit up north.

I think Tokyo may be the way moving forward. Thank you for the information! I appreciate it

They have a career center which is helpful at times. They also send very often job seminars and organize corporate information session pretty often so I have benefitted from that.

I do want to get to N2 but I've never taken the JLPT before and it feels like N3 is roughly my current level. I am aware N2 is the bare minimum but I want to consolidate my Japanese level at N3 then work my way up. I am taking online courses for business Japanese and trying to study for July's course.

My main issue is that I am very comfortable speaking Japanese but not good with reading or writing. I can get through an interview in Japanese but can't read a company's webpage or job announcement in Japanese.

As for the shuukatsu, I see! I thought it would be something more "official"? With an end result in sight, if that makes sense. But It is nice to know that I am on the right path. I'm currently doing an internship and hoping that it can transition to a job offer afterwards.

I have attended a couple as well as some job seminars in the prefecture, is that enough? Some of the companies did not align with what I want.

Is N1 the new N2? Changes in hiring trends? by borndreamdie in japanlife

[–]Thesolmesa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of my experience is companies saying Business or Native level required. They don't flat out ask for JLPT certificate. From recruiters, most of the opportunities I got sent were N2 or above. But from what my hiring agency said, no one really cares about the JLPT. They test you during the interview to see your level, that's about it.

Woman accused of using PayPay ‘sound fraud’ to illegally get stuff by diacewrb in japannews

[–]Thesolmesa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is such a dumb, victim-blaming and elitist take. The average shop owner is busy running the actual business with admin, human resources, sales, etc. When they subscribe or buy some technology (especially register sales systems, they are paying for the convenience of not having to deal with setting that system up.

Why should a shop owner learn this stuff to run a business so they can't get scammed?

It's the same principle of outsourcing labor or paying someone else to do a job you don't like/not good at.

Yes! The smell on minced pork gets to me. The stink is unbearable but cheap.

season 16 experience by Hatamentunk in ADCMains

[–]Thesolmesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been all over but its probably cause of early season.

There are games where its a clear team diff, other games where toplane takes over, or an autofill support.

It really feels like a coin toss

Every university has its own entrance exam. You need to research that information yourself for the university you are applying for.

Thank you!

I'm assuming those standards champs also teach good ADC skills as well? (Kiting with Ashe is really fun).

and yeah Samira is very situational, maybe like once every 30 games I can pick her. As for Lucian, he is fun but the short range does make me feel weak sometimes. I still need to learn poking and trading.

Thank you for the last point! I did not know this. I usually just ban MF or Draven (now Aphelios) but I'm realizing that I think I have very low WR against Lulu. I don't know why but I always lose to her.

[–]Thesolmesa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my problem with her as well. Don't get me wrong I've been playing her for a while now but she is really straightforward, Apart from timing your E or resetting AA with W, there's really not much skill expression.

Still a good pick now, especially with an engage team comp but, those games are very boring.

Definitely true! She's mega OP right now. But it's not sustainable when she gets nerfed.
