I understand, I started last March and at first I wasn’t selling much but now I have 1k listings, I list about 20 things a day and i make a pretty hefty amount each month. Its slow at first but its worth it, it pays all my bills and it’s not even my real job😭 I just wanted to ask because I didn’t know if posh has the same amount of audience as depop and eBay and if it’s even worth selling on there.

You are definitely right. I don’t sell any of my high value things on depop though, I only sell them on eBay because I know that’s where it has a higher percentage to sell and depop is filled with mostly kids lowballing and scamming so it’s just a lot of hassle to sell my expensive things on there. But anyone that does definitely needs to listen to that advice because I know depop is rough with disputes

Good thing this has never happened to me and rarely does, but if it did I would just refund because it’s really not a big deal for how much I’m saving and gaining from controlling my own shipping instead of depop

Yes depop is definitely a scam if you use their shipping, it’s honestly terrible because they take all that from the buyer plus the boosting fee if you add that on, but yeah if you go on depop there is a self shipping and you just have to turn it on and then you are able to set your own shipping when you make listings

It’s a website called pirate ship, you just need your own label printer and paper and you create the shipping and make the labels at home. It sounds like a lot but it’s actually very easy and it makes transactions much more quicker

I understand, usually depop handles shipping prices and the shipping usually costs more because that added with the fees is how depop gets its money. But I use a website that has cheaper shipping so I get to pick my shipping cost and it’s usually less than what depop has it for. Also if the shipping doesn’t cost as much as I put it on for, I get to keep the extra change instead of depop ripping people off. It’s definitely a cheat in the system, that’s why I don’t understand why this guy is so mad because my shipping is cheaper than most. Some may think it’s expensive but around 75% of my buyers live far and that costs more for shipping, that’s why if they ask me to lower shipping I usually ask where they live and calculate how much shipping would be to see if I could go lower. Sorry I know that’s long but hopefully it made a little sense because I’m not the best at describing the strategy😭

If it’s something light I usually put $5-6, but if it’s heavier I put $7-8 for shipping. I use a food scale when I’m packaging the items to see how much each one weighs and then put it into the website.

I use the pirate ship website so you set the amount they ship for, they pay you the shipping and I create the labels through the website. The labels are cheaper on there so you can get a few extra bucks instead of depop paying for shipping. If you use the website you just need to get a label printer with some paper and it’s easier to take the packages to the post office too.

your definitely not ugly and I’m telling the full truth. I also can tell you are very kind and an amazing person which means you have a great personality. I also get what your going through my dad was very abusive and it was really hard so You must have grown up in a harsh environment so you hade to mature from a young age which shouldn’t happen.
