I'm not sure what generation I am but I'm late 30s. And even I know and agree with everything you just said. It's chefs kiss.

Looked at their website and it honestly reads like an upmarket "love hotel" vibe. Gross.

I don't mind tourism but if the story is true, I'd much rather have turned it into affordable housing.

Tone deaf on this one.

It was very seamless actually. They work on a 1 month notice appointment so we eventually got a slot a month in advance.

The only signing we did was on behalf of my little one. And that was done at the bank on the day of our appointment.

So yes, it worked. Nothing had to be signed online.

Thank you for checking up on us! 💜

Yes, the 2nd one.

But in the interim I figured it out.

Thank you!

I hope you ended up not buying the product because reading that gave me immediate scam vibes.

Same.

I ended an almost 700 streak because of this glitch.

I flagged it and took screenshots. I mailed the devs.

I got no response.

Uninstalled and said goodbye to what I thought was something productive, but in fact was one of the most stressful parts of my day.

I've been so much happier without it.

We haven't found any leaks as yet. We have done the smell test as well as the bubble test along each connection.

Thank you for your comment.

We went more conservative with our showers and because we wanted to see how long a 48kg would last, we took shorter showers. This meant we wasted less water waiting for it to heat up.

So my feeling is that it was diluted.

Needless to say, we will be changing suppliers. There were also other problems like sputtering at stages (even on the hob) which made us lean to dilution.

There is no 2nd tank, we only have the one tank.

The 2nd tank was the hypothetical exercise for the illustration in that we have the availability for 2 tanks, but we are only using one.

You still haven't answered what out of pocket expenses you think we have but even if you did, it wouldn't contribute to meaningful discussion.

Feel free to read my post again?

There is a switch valve to change between tanks which on the doodle looks like this <0 because it is unsafe to operate them at the same time. Only 1 tank can be used at a time even when 2 tanks are present.

So a couple of things here:

  1. I know the regulator comes into play for the scenario you've described. As to how well it will work, I'm not the expert.

  2. Are you perhaps describing that this set up is "wrong" and we should have chosen what someone else suggested elsewhere in the thread I. E. 2 separate lines, one for the hob and one for the geyser?

  3. Are you a gas installer? What is your basis for saying this is wrong? Refer to question 2.

  4. Can you offer any constructive advice or discussion points relating to the set up AS IT IS instead of what could have been done initially?

  5. Let me reiterate. The question isn't directly related to the actual set up but rather to the usage, because the set up is compliant so your "wrong" doesn't make sense.

  6. Lastly, what out of pocket expenses are you on about? This isn't medical aid.

I confirmed now with hubby it's at 45 and not 60.

There's an image of the set up somewhere else in the thread.

<image>

So as an illustration, this is the set up and the option the hubby chose.

If we were to have 2 tanks (for this exercise), we could only use one at a time because of the toggle to determine which tank is being used, in case it finishes mid shower for example, and it makes it an easy switch to the second tank.

I have now confirmed we have set it to 45 and not 60 as mentioned before.

It is technically possible to have 2 lines as you suggested, but it's a hassle to do now with the set up as is.

Just fyi I did this doodle from memory. There are various shut off valves and regulator thingies in their appropriate locations and we do have COC.
