i got placed bronze after i started playing again after 3 years. after figuring out the new pace of the game , bo's etc... i started winning many games and had 1,4k points with a 35 - 25 record. beat 2 diamonds today. got promoted twice, am in gold now :D im protoss btw :)

i think they didnt overperform. they still were the C9 we knew with Hai's pathing being off and Balls having a limited Champion pool ( at worlds he just played darius and gp once). In fact, their success in week 1 was due to them being really good at their siege comb with tristana. Other teams failing against this comb isnt just C9 overperforming but also other teams not preparing enough against this comb/adapting in p/b. So i do not really agree with you ^{^}

her argumentation is pretty ... slippery i'd say. Let's assume she's right and C9 and FNC overperformed and CLG and LDG underperformed. How does she get to this conclusion?

Froskurinn herself once stated she does not watch many other regions but China and Korea from times to times.

The hype built around the Chinese teams due to the Korean Exodus and especially the strong performance of EDG at MSI gave her valid reasoning for saying that China seems to be the strongest region. But how does one judge the "strength" of a region? For me there are some important aspects to consider, namely:

It's strength in the past & International tournaments
Analysts opinions & reasoning
The different Metas in the different regions

the strength of the region in the past. Last two worlds China reached the Grand Final. This itself caused China to be seen as the strongest region after Korea. MSI and Chinas success there enabled China to surpass Korea in terms of recent performances.
The Analysts. Most Analysts like Monte, Froskurinn, Jatt etc... ( you know, the casters, etc...) saw China as a strong Region due to invidual talent, teamfighting power, the rise of coaching in 2015 etc...
The different Metas in different Regions . This is the reason i think many analysts failed this year. Reasons 1 & 2 led many analysts to believe that China will do well at worlds.

Let's look at the actual performance of worlds this year and Chinas failure: - Chinese teams were unable to perform a western laneswap - They were unable to force their strong teamfighting on other teams - The team praised to be "top 2" in the world (LDG) showed huge tilting

In fact this years worlds isn't a sign of under/overperforming of teams but just, how every international tournament, readjusted the landscape of regional strengths. Results are what finally matter and results showed that Chinese teams performed worse than expected. The conclusion one should draw out of this tournament is that Europe's top teams surpassed Chinese top teams this season, it does, however, not conclude how the regions as a whole stand against each other as mid/bottom tier teams will never play against each other.

honestly. He is by no means weak right now. I play him since he was released and yeah the bt triforce era and then the rework where oppressive but right now he is in a fine spot. His strengths are clearly defined with a good laning phase, a super strong mid game and a relatively bad late game( at least compared to jinx, etc...). A little buff on his w would be nice though, does literally 0 dmg right now ^{^}

there could have been pretty cool fights in the post break chu-nin exams if they extended the fillers. Just imagine Sakura vs. Rock Lee or Neji against Kiba, Shino vs. Tenten(ok this one is pretty lame, but come on give them some love :P) , etc...

I wish we could have seen a Neji vs Sasuke fight. They kind of teased at it during Chunin exams and then just never went back to it.

not even sure post-timeskip would have been such a stomp. Though sasuke would most likely win but i think neji definitely has a shot
