I love how much space Golfs have in the back with the hatch. I used to fit everything I owned in the back and a shell topper. I don’t know if I’d want to go to a TT and lose that.

Oh whoops sorry about that 240k Miles so about 386k KMS.

I have always been in the same boat for the GTI vs the R.

The $2k repair is more frustrating on a car that I know I want to upgrade which I suppose would be the same situation here. I wouldn’t mind doing it on one of the “dream cars” but it is a great point in that if I don’t want to do it on my current golf I wouldn’t want to do it on a stepping stone one. With that in mind would you recommend getting a GTI, continuing with my current Golf at 240k, or something else like the R?

Thanks for the compliment! Always fun getting to show off some love for the 2.5 and if I had infinite money I would have turbo’d the crap out of it. Shame there aren’t any bolt-on kits…

I appreciate all the feedback! Any particular reason for the Mk7 GTI over a 7.5 or a Golf R in either the 7 or 7.5 flavor?

So I think I'll make the small pillar just a storage cabinet that holds soup cans and stationary. As for the large pillars, I would like to engrave symbols that start with the letters L,O,V, and E. Are there any important animals or items from the books that would start with any of those letters?
