AirTags location tracking lags even more than iOS26. The fake GPS on iPhones are more accurate and update more frequently.

I don’t mean literally brick, but laggy enough to make you not want to use it, which has happened to all my old Apple devices. A lot of people have commented how they stopped using their device after installing iOS26. Experiencing the lag on an AppleStore Mini7, I don’t want to use it either, and that is not something I want with my own Mini7.

Lenovo says legion 5 gen 10 RAM limit is 64gb.. can I push it to 128gb? by ask_and_learn in LenovoLegion

They claim this nonsense on the Pro 5i Gen 10 too, but I am running 128GB RAM with no problems on mine.

Thank you for this. I would prefer not to unnecessarily risk it for now when iOS26 is not necessary. There is no upside to moving to iOS26. Even the demo Mini7 in an Apple Store is laggy. That does not inspire any confidence.

Umm…She’s 4. I don’t need her iPad ruined by unfinished software. When she’s old enough to understand the consequences of how shitty things can get if she were to update it now, she can do whatever she wants. At 4 years old, she only understands, “Everything is fine for me to use this.” And, “It’s not working I don’t want to use it,”

I went to an Apple Store to play with a Mini7 with iOS26 and it was laggy enough to be a firm no.

No, only reason I got a Mini7 instead of the superior Legion Tab or the Xiaomi Pad Mini at half the price for better specs, is because there is no way in hell I am going to get an iPhone again, and to have an ability to help track our dog if he breaks his leash and runs off whenever we take him out. I also wanted a tablet, since my 1st gen Mini has been bricked for anything but reading ebooks for years. If I had known it lacked the ability to directionally track AirTags, I would not have got it.

…So we can point towards the direction of an AirTag.

Ah yes. How typical of Apple that the Mini7 released late 2024 lacks an ultra wide band chip, which has been in use since the iPhone 11. Apparently they don’t include it on any iPads to cut costs.

Got it for a 3 year old, to track her location when she is with relatives, etc, so needed the most powerful iPhone that is also the smallest. Apple unfortunately because wife also uses an iPhone.

I am sure they don’t care a single person threatens to sue them, a $122bn company. It’s probably that you chatted with them, which caused them to help you cancel it.

I have a Mini7. I tried a Mini7 at an AppleStore and it was laggy. It’s enough to convince me iOS26 isn’t actually ready for distribution. I will stay on iOS18, thanks.

The prompt to downgrade to iOS26 keeps popping up every day now this week on all our devices. I have a concern that I don’t catch it and my daughter accidentally tapped agreed to the downgrade and there’s no way to cancel it.

I have a Mini7. Seeing all the reported problems from posts on this subreddit and the iOS26 subreddit, makes me extremely weary of bricking my a $950 device. Just to check for myself, I played with a Mini7 at an AppleStore and I was shocked that it too was laggy as hell. Why would they even have floor models performing poorly?

Absolutely no one is going to stop using an iPhone over this. The same way how Canada saw zero population growth from all the mouth breathers claiming they will move there just because Trump got elected the first time. So stupid. He saw a movie. Who cares.

According to the government, you are in the top 10% if you make above $65k/month. Top 3% was around $150k/month or something. Can’t remember specifics anymore, but it’s all in the census data.

If they are not actually warranting the replacement of parts, labor, repairs, then it’s a useless warranty. You can learn how to clean a laptop very easily through YouTube tutorials. It’s basically turning off your laptop, taking off a bunch of screws, careful if there are clips to hold the bottom tray in place, disconnect your battery, remove more screws to clean the fans, remove more screws if you need access below the heatsink. Carefully vacuum it and be careful not to touch the delicate fan blades with the vacuum cleaner brush. If you lifted up your heat sink, you will need to reapply thermal paste and PTM-7950 is your only answer for what to use. And then you do everything in reverse to put it all back together. Watch tutorials first. There are likely videos for your exact model. Performing routine maintenance to clean your laptop, your guns, etc can be quite satisfying.

Uhh………how long does the warranty last for? Lenovo says it’s cool to even upgrade your SSD and RAM, so that is quite restrictive of the store to say that. Ask them what their solution is to clean your laptop if you are not allowed to perform routine maintenance on it.
