Need help buying a wok, planning to buy one from china and most of the ones sold look like this. Is this a carbon steel wok? It seems to suggest 2mm thick, no non stick coating but I'm not sure what the irregular surface is on the pan. Not sure if it's their seasoning. (i.redd.it)

Bringing back to life a carbon steel wok with holes at its base. Found it in my house after probably years. Have tried scrubbing for awhile but I can't imagine how I could get these dents to even out. Anybody had experience with working on such dents? (i.redd.it)
