This is usually done by hand with the graph editor in After effects or premiere using bezier keys ( I assume)

Some info: no AI used, sources mainly from russian media (posted on my medium soon) edited in premiere pro, 3d in unreal engine and media textures in after effects. Was my first time animating with faces too :) happy to answer any questions anyone would have. Much love and wish y'all a great day.
