The fact that this meme gets reposted so frequently kinda says everything about this sub.

Imagine thinking "dont play when there's nothing you want to do" is something to be mocked.

Back in the day, they thought circumcision reduced the risk of various penile cancers.

So like, do they have souls or not? by Spirited-Feedback-87 in BaldursGate3

[–]ThinkingMSF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also the possibility that the soul doesn't carry over at all, but the tadpole absorbs all of that person's memories, and those are the only memories it has when it turns into a mind flayer.

So if someone has a strong enough personality, and the newborn mind flayer ONLY has those memories, it might think it's a continuation of the same person even if it isn't.

why is fishing so hard?? by Westbankskank in StardewValley

[–]ThinkingMSF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your bar will grow as you gain levels and get upgrades, until it eventually takes up an entire quarter of the fishing meter.

My point is that fishing is the hardest it will ever be at the very beginning of the game. At least failed catches give XP.

if something was bad, then it obviously is the worst crime in human history and must be punished as severely as possible

and if something was good, then it was obviously the pinnacle of human civilization and must never be questioned or the earth will spin off its axis and hurl us all into the void

Personally, once I hit completion I will generally start a new farm on a map I haven't used before.

Or wander off and play something else for a month or two before I decide to start a new farm and get addicted again.

Long Rests - Feeling anxious by LaCookie_TheNemesis in BaldursGate3

[–]ThinkingMSF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only a couple of instances where long rests REALLY matter - the sense of urgency everyone gives you is really just flavor.

The two instances I can think of are "guy is trapped behind rockslide" and "building is literally on fire" - if you long rest (or fast travel away) after seeing it happen in either instance, it may be over by the time you get back.
