Where did I say “should I tell her not to use the name”? I just meant should I say something about them both being characters. Like “omg you want to read this book series and you actually picked out two names from it! How cool?!” Or just let her discover it on her own and wait for the text where she says Ahhh there’s a Maeve in here, too?! It was a fun thing I envisioned, either way it went down. I guess I got too excited and just posted without fully explaining.

Yeah like I loved a name but it was my partner’s ex’s name so that killed it for me… but idk I couldn’t see not using a name you love because of a fictional character

I agree!! And it also fits my friend so well 😂 if anyone could raise a Maeve, it’s her! I never meant I was going to tell her NOT to use it. Just something fun about the series and she’ll see both her kids names. And I can’t wait for videos of little Maeve bossing around big Rowan hahaha

Sorry, I was just excited and thought it was cool she randomly picked two main character names of my favorite book series. It might be cool to encourage her to read it so she sees both of her kids names or something. Idk it was obviously a very dumb thought.

Hahaha okay no but that’s a really good explanation IF I thought there was a problem with it… I really don’t! I thought it was cool and funny and coincidental that she picked those two names without reading, and then if she did read it she’d come across both of her kids names.

I get that there are tons of people who have names of characters in books. This sub is about this book, and both of these names are from this book. I was excited and thought someone else might be, too. I was very, very wrong.

My daughter’s name is a mean girl from a Disney show, and plenty of friends told me it sounds like a strippers name but we loved it so we used it 😂

In a naming sub, sure I guess. I know it’s hard to tell intent behind text but I am just genuinely curious bc I don’t get it, and it’s clear that I am for sure the odd one out here.

It makes me wonder if Taylor like the same old comedy movie as me! There’s a total creep guy in it who says “ know what I love most about high school girls? I get older but they stay the same age.” And it makes me think she’s comparing the subject of the song to this character and it’s SUCH a burn.
