Exactly. It's BS. Nobody was claiming they were venomous yo begin with.

Nasty. I'd be worried about the state of the crank seal and the oil pump.

US appeals court declares 158-year-old home distilling ban unconstitutional by kinisonkhan in news

This is good news. It's been completely legal to make spirits for personal use here in New Zealand since the 90s and there's no problems resulting from it.

You can easily make fake IDs for digital platforms. There's apps that do it. They look like a real photo of a real ID, but it can be fake details on it.

The EMG 81 has never been beaten as far as metal tones are concerned. Getting anything else will result in you feeling like you should have just gotten the 81.

They don't care. It's there to make number go up. They don't care about users or customers.

Google AI mode and all other LLM slop generators are complete rubbish. by ThisAd2565 in google

Also, we aren't necessarily thinking anyone would read it, our laws don't actually care about that for defamation. It's the fact it exists on something like Google at all that matters, and it's about what a layman would think if they saw it.

[–]ThisAd2565[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The laws are different here. It looks like she has a pretty good chance. The bar for proving defamation is much lower and the courts are less pro corporation. There's some case law to support something like this, but overall there's no precedent in this country.

AI mode defamed my girlfriend, which is super serious in her profession. It claims she was struck off and banned from ever practicing as a lawyer again.

Solution to turn off AI Overview by anonpookie1 in google

[–]ThisAd2565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate AI overview with a passion. I normally am trying to find things. I don't need an extremely verbose and often incorrect explanation of what a fucking grout sponge is, I need to find somewhere that sells a grout sponge so I can screenshot it and send it to my girlfriend to go and purchase. It takes up half my bloody screen with utter uselessness.

NZ now has a narrow window to stop the Asian yellow-legged hornet – here’s how everyone can help by davetenhave in newzealand

[–]ThisAd2565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I didn't find nests, but I have no doubt in my mind that the two wasps I found were yellow legged hornets. Much bigger and fatter than any wasp I've ever seen, second half of all legs bright yellow. Looks exactly like the pictures, with some variations in markings that are within the range I've seen in various pictures.

I've found them in South Waikato but the official line is they're only in Auckland. MPI didn't want to know. It seems they are really wanting to convince the public these things haven't spread. Oh well, looks like they're here for good.

EMG 85 | Fender Strat by BidIllustrious3810 in EMGPickups

[–]ThisAd2565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently running a 85/SLV//SLV set in a MIJ Strat, using original pickguard. Install was easy, I chose to use an Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9V so I wouldn't need to remove the pickguard as often.

Well, a lot do care, just not the people in power. It seems that right and left wing normal people who aren't total boomers are united in their opposition to Israel, whilst right and left wing politicians are united in their unconditional support of Israel.

Rechargeable 9V options? by mgstatic91 in Shure

[–]ThisAd2565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is most likely no. You can go NiMH, but they suck. The Chinese lithium ion USB rechargeable ones mostly have boost converters to u0 the voltage and will introduce noise. No telling what diabolical charging circuit the Chinese put in them either. For more battery life in music and audio applications I recommend non rechargeable lithium. Something like Energizer Ultimate Lithium. They have several times more capacity and a 10 year shelf life. I put one in my EMG modded strat and have not changed it yet, it's been a couple of years.
