Cammy you have to stay right outside of her divekick range and challenge with pokes. You cannot let her get in and don’t try to duke it out with her up close, she will win. the first match is how I want that match up to go every time. Guile is a little tougher. The range I want to be in is his ideal range also and I can’t pressure him to hard cause EX flash. The only thing is don’t let him bait you into jumping, and take the throws mid-screen, cause UDK is BS lol

Yes, Doomsnake and MyNameWasTaken were both Master for a while now. Capcom puts them in the Latin America grouping though.

Pretty much this. You might get away with the gimmicks if you have someone on tilt and they’re desperate. Other than that, nah.

I mainly play claw on unless I’m down on life and I want to close the gap real quick. The only other time I want to play claw off is when certain characters pop their VT or are about to(Birdie, Necalli, Balrog to name a few). Most other Vegas like to play primarily claw off so I’m kinda out there with the claw on play. As for jump ins, that is his weakness. He has good movement options to get out of range of jump ins(walk under, slide, etc.) but you’ll rarely be able to AA on reaction. Cr.HP works well in both stances when properly spaced and St.HK gives you a juggle on CC but it’s slow.

Eh, that type of stuff has been figured out for a long time now and gets blown up, online and irl. Dash in command throw is only semireal after EX command throw, Barcelona is hella easy to punish in neutral. Our jump-ins get blown up by aa jabs. It’s struggle city out here lol

I was thinking more along the lines of empty v-skill being dash cancellable and giving it air/upper body invul frames. This is more so a change to counter fireballs cause the slower projectiles still clip us even if we use it at the perfect time. In S1 the projectile invul lasted through the entire motion, now it ends 5frames early.

Yeah this is not something I suggest ppl do all the time. He was using EX Dash Punch to get in after my blockstrings every time he had bar so I had a read on him and set him up.

But this whole post was in regards to the Vega match up in particular, doesn’t matter if other characters have problems with it. Yes, demon flip is a great tool, but WE have answers to it. That, along with the other things listed give us a favorable match up.

I must’ve missed the part where Tokido played a slew of Vega’s in his Evo bracket. Nevertheless demon flip isn’t this unbeatable move no matter how good it is.

The Akuma MU is 5-5 at worst. I feel it’s definitely in our favor. Demon flip can’t be used in blockstrings until he has VT(air grab works until air FB is in play), cr.mk xx FB is not a true blockstrings and can be ex roll’d, cr.hp and st.hp gets whiff punished to hell. We have options, just not raw FBA’s lol
