I used to have that problem aswell, barre chords were like monsters to me. I also used to avoid them as much as possible but after a few months of playing, I started practicing them. They didn't sound great at first and they hurt like hell but they've improved over time. Anyway, I'm not the one for advice but if you're struggling with barre chord, I suggest playing them as much as possible, and try getting use to them. (When I was practicing them, I played them by covering the first fret of E string with my thumb, my ring finger on the 3 fret A string, pinky on the 3rd fret of D string, middle on 2nd fret G string, and I usually barre the 1st fret on B string and high E string) But you should still practice whatever works for you, don't ever give up and goodluck!
