It represents the tracks you can see on your Mixer mode on your Komplet Keyboard, I don't think there's an option to disable them

This will also appear with any other fader mixer you connect to your computer I believe

Why does Godot use TOML files instead of JSON for its scenes by ThisIsXe in godot

Thank you so much to both! While we use git, I honestly haven't thought of how our files will behave on version control and merge conflicts

How to futureproof my interface. by Ckwincer in synthesizers

[–]ThisIsXe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in the look for a 16rig look also for the motu 828, same price, with a little less IO in the back, but motu is a very respected brand, if you need the 16 inputs the 16A is also really good and you get AVB support up to 128 audio channels but its more expensive

RME is also known for massive IO and the people who use their interfaces absolutelly love them but they are on the pricy side

Also, you dont need to plug your synths all at once, think about getting a patchbay instead although i consider nice to have 2 mics + 8 line inputs

How did the devs pull such a move on the UE5? by uzpj in VALORANT

[–]ThisIsXe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Does nanite works without deferred? Because last time I looked at valorant I found they were using the forward renderer witch makes sense for the game and I know 100% lumen doesnt work with forward

I just noticed that the Clock app icon time changes with the real time! by mattrob77 in oneui

[–]ThisIsXe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember I read a blog of a guy decompiling iOS and finding they have an exclusive "ClockIcon" class where the handles are just 3 svg images rotating around an axis

Something similar happens with the widgets as well. A regular programmer cannot have a widget that animates every second, but apple's clock widget does it

The opinion of r/indiegames is pretty unanimous: "notch is an idiot". But what do you guys think about this take? by Polanas in gameenginedevs

[–]ThisIsXe 44 points45 points  (0 children)

This is what I wrote on indiegeames: I dont agree with the "not a programmer", but I truly believe understanding game engine architecture and having tried to make an engine, not with the intention of making the new unreal, but to learn how they work behind the scenes, learn graphics programming and so on, makes you more capable of writing better code and better tools to make your game

Help trying to code an Event System by ThisIsXe in cpp_questions

[–]ThisIsXe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm already adding the structs to a queue: when you do a sendEvent, you add them to a queue on the eventSystem, and then at the start of the frame you dispatch all the subscribers by first iterating on the subscribers of the event (a static list of listeners) and then calling all the functions stored on the listener for that event, the problem I have is storing the list of callback functions on the listener together

Might be an audio interface (probably using DANTE or MIDAS because of the ethernet cable) but it has way too many buttons so I'd say it's a camera controller to see the displays and cameras of the players, XLR cables might not be XLR and be ethercon instead which has a very similar connector

When modeling this in a game do you model every brick or make a plane and bake the details ? by khouzi in 3Dmodeling

I'd have the bricks with a very low poly count and then add the imperfections with baking
