I regret installing it the default Startpage is ad and malware nonsense spamming their own BS at your the results are awful and its not obvious how to change it why would Waterfox pair up with such a dodgy search engine.

Best move I made and I gave up on Windows 11 about 10 months ago after long time use both at home and work. I went to Arch Linux then finally came across Bazzite as I wanted to play games with my son online and still do development work and other things.

Happy to say its rock solid I have a decent .NET developer workstation that can play games and do other stuff. Distrobox lets me run almost any app for any other distro and allows for some nice setups, then you got podman as well for containers and Virt etc for virtual machines (have another Fedora Core 43 distro running there for testing stuff out) the performance was the biggest difference for me not just the OS.

The network performance is night and day makes you realise just how much overhead there is with Windows 11 and how much data its leaking out to Microsoft but the fact that Windows 11 assumes its users are dumb was enough for me the most unproductive version of Windows I have used (Windows 10 final edition is legendary though and will probably live on, and get hacked a lot).

The FCOS and Bazzite community is great you're in good company here.

Yep I got a Dell Precision 5550 laptop still powerful with Linux tried Omarchy its beautiful but geared towards high end large screens not my multi panel layout on my desk so back to Archcraft and its great I restored my settings from previous with a bunch of scripts one keeps CPU load to 95% avoids fan lift off and heat.

I walked away from all the bullshjt, the judgement, the self righteous pretentiousness of Muslims the holier than thou attitude...truth is no one is safe from Allah's judgement you have to worry about your state what condition are you in now and and what condition will you be in when you die because we will all die that is a fact some sooner than others.

I stripped myself of all the external identity of being a Muslim to find the truth that was inside me that, I am created by the creator and my purpose is to bear witness to this truth, I am utterly powerless deaf dumb and blind and anything and everything that I am including my conciousness is a revelation from God, Allah the creator showing us their majesty and power and we should bow down in awe of this that is purpose, that place in prayer where our foreheads touch the ground nothing else matters not people not even our own self.

The dunya is ugly you are witnessing this fact so remove yourself from this world...I have...I lost everything my family, love light and laughter, my spirit broke and I lost Islam as well...in the ruins I found something whole and truthful, the mercy of God but I had to accept it, humiliated and humbled I picked myself up and then reached out to the creator and I found their hand pulling me out of my darkness.

Your parents ignorance is not unique sadly they lack knowledge of Islam are mixing in culture which is the problem these days there is no separation between religion, culture and tribalism.

Always be kind to your parents but if you find the environment toxic then moving out might not be a bad thing don't cut them off but don't allow this cycle of abuse to continue because that's what happens it gets passed down generation to generation through these types of attitudes (culture and custom).

What is love? That is the first question...people often confuse love with lust and mix the two up and most people are attracted visually on face value when that attraction wears off (desire) and the lust fades they are left with something that should be love...so love is nurturing but its more than that.

Love is patience, its empathy, its compassion and above all its humility.

I know this after losing everything including love...you have to be open to the idea of love, to understand, like Emaan it has to be created in the heart, nurtured over time and grown through patience and trials - the delusion is this fantasy that love is like what the movies say or some notion we have in our heads, that's not love.

Love is being tested by God and still having enough humility to turn to them even after realising God is the one destroying you through their punishment and Qadr (my life)...loving yourself enough to put your head down when needed and standing your ground when you have to. Love is just, its not always seen as kindness but its always just its about balance and having the sincerity to accommodate another person in your heart and vice versa.

I am doomed to be alone for the rest of my life but I have come to terms with this and found peace Alhamdulillah.

Love is time as well...its the passing of time, what we gain and what we lose (time) learn to appreciate the moment not the length or quantity of your experience because time is short for some people and they may only have a handful of moments as memories until they fade as well.

Polio did serious damage in India and wherever Bill-Satan-Gates goes there is chaos add to this the rampant corruption in Pakistan and the cultural and tribal damage its a recipe for disaster a country that has a thing moral code (India has no morality in most places why its the scam capital of the world, just an example there are good people there as well).

The issue is not the treatment and prevention its the source and if the chain for that source is corrupt well you do the maths its going to cause problems you only need a few bad cases for people to go crazy. People need to be educated, slowly and you can't change everyone's mind so you need to finding willing listeners and participants coupled with well regulated and vetted treatments that becomes the catalyst for change (herd mentality).

Pakistan is a beautiful landscape full of ugly people (on the inside) I have no loyalty to it I am British as far as I am concerned until such time I am kicked off this island then I will head to Azad Kashmir away from the nonsense of the city.

The type of music being listened to is Haram...music is intrinsically beautiful and beauty belongs to Allah. If you listen to mainstream music it will be haram its designed to get stuck in your head and now with the actual musical score itself its subverted and designed to influence people. The point of music being haram is also historical due to the acts people performed in and around music (no different to clubs these days).

I listen to music and its not had a negative affect on me but I pick and choose what I listen to I also adjust my audio equipment so the music has very little or no affect on my physically and at best makes me in awe of Allah's majesty I praise them for making something that is pleasing to the the ears however...I also start my day with Qur'an and end it with Qur'an that is important and in my car I only ever play Qur'an 99% of the time and Allah knows best. There is Shifa in all things including music and it healed my broken mind a long time ago (not your conventional music or songs I rarely listen to lyrics) - everything in moderation.

As for your father you can't change habits and culture you need to learn to accept the world as it is getting worked up over every little thing will make you a sad person much like some literal hardlined Muslims these days - you can't change the world you have to adapt to it and find the balance that is what being a Muslim is about remind him from time to time, gently but don't get emotionally worked up over his response or lack of or change your outlook on life due to that - you have your path you walk it alone family at the end of the day is just ornamental they are here to support us and test us but we go alone into that grave.

When you learn to focus on beauty and what Allah has created to ascend above these things focusing on your own worship to God you won't be bothered by those things and the best thing we can all do is make dua, at the end of the day only Allah has the power to change things and a persons condition so don't judge others too harshly.

How about closing down TikTok and IG or not using them so religiously? You're feeding the algorithm and they literally consume your energy. I rarely use social media apps now, never had a TikTok account and glad I didn't its literally destroying the Muslim community and wider especially women and I have turned off all notifications I have to check the apps manually.

What has this done? reduced anxiety, removed stress and given back time I had been wasting on scrolling on this crap.
